A Heartbreaking Decline in Service at a Once-Treasured Haven
For years, Nagarjuna Restaurant in Koramangala was more than just a dining spot—it was a destination. Despite residing on the opposite end of Bengaluru, my family and I would willingly endure 60 to 90-minute journeys, often bringing along friends and relatives, to savor the authentic Andhra cuisine that Nagarjuna so proudly offered. The warmth, tradition, and exceptional hospitality made every trip worthwhile.
However, a recent visit shattered this long-held admiration. Arriving around 1 PM with seven friends, we faced an unforeseen challenge when one member was delayed by traffic. We requested seating on the empty upper floor but were told it was only available when the ground floor was filled. Accepting this policy, we took our seats downstairs, unknowingly setting the stage for a deeply disappointing experience.
As we neared the end of our meal, our delayed friend was just minutes away. We urgently tried to order food for her, but despite our pleas—explaining that she was only three minutes away—we were abruptly asked to vacate or move to a cramped two-seater. Even though the upper floor remained completely empty, our request was denied, and our friend arrived just as we were clearing our table, left without a bite.
What was once a sanctuary of genuine hospitality has now degraded into a place where customers are treated as mere numbers. Nagarjuna no longer provides a superior experience; instead, its staff rushes through service like heartless robots—serving food with such clinical urgency that guests are quickly billed and then unceremoniously pushed out.
With every cherished memory now marred by a cold, mechanical dismissal, my heart shatters as I bid farewell to a beloved haven—forever, I can no longer recommend Nagarjuna to anyone...

A Culinary Gem Marred by Hurried Service at Nagarjuna, Koramangala Nagarjuna Restaurant in Koramangala, Bangalore, lived up to its reputation for exceptional taste during our family visit today. Being a Saturday, the heavy crowd was expected, and it's clear why people flock here: the food is, without a doubt, a culinary delight. Every dish we sampled was bursting with authentic flavors, truly setting it apart.
However, the otherwise excellent dining experience was significantly marred by the deficient and overly hurried service. While the crowd was understandable, the staff, including the waiters and cleaners, seemed overwhelmingly preoccupied with clearing tables. This resulted in an unpleasant rush, as they attempted to clear our plates even before we had finished our meal. The most frustrating instance was when a cleaner removed my lemon soda, which I was still drinking, from the table without even checking.
Upon bringing this to the attention of our waiter, Murgesh, his response was disappointing. He neither bothered to inquire further about the incident nor offered any apology for the premature clearing of our drinks and the overall hurried service.
In conclusion, Nagarjuna's food remains unparalleled for its taste. However, the service on a busy day like Saturday needs significant improvement. The staff's eagerness to turn over tables at the expense of the diners' comfort and enjoyment detracts from what could otherwise be a perfect meal. While the exceptional food might tempt us back, the hope is for a more attentive and less rushed service...
Read moreI’m writing to express deep disappointment with an incident I faced recently at your Nagarjuna Koramangala outlet — an experience that was not only embarrassing but also shocking, given the reputation your brand holds.
During my visit, I parked my electric bike in the basement and began charging it briefly — not out of convenience, but because my battery was critically low and there were no nearby charging points. I was planning a quick meal, just enough time to get a minimal charge so I could return home safely.
However, in the middle of my meal, the manager approached me in an abrupt and disrespectful tone, demanding that I unplug immediately. I wasn’t given a chance to explain the emergency. Worse, I was told to get up mid-meal — something no customer should ever be subjected to. The whole episode unfolded in front of other diners, and I felt publicly humiliated.
I work at a large corporate firm where we are taught to lead with empathy and professionalism — and frankly, I expected at least basic courtesy from your staff. Had the manager politely informed me of a policy, I would’ve complied immediately without any fuss.
To be clear, I wasn’t misusing resources. It was a genuine emergency, and I made the practical decision to dine at your restaurant instead of standing outside helplessly with a dead battery. I’ve always been a patron of Nagarjuna and this treatment felt unfair and unwarranted.
Given this, I am requesting a formal apology from the manager involved, and an assurance that your team will be guided on how to deal with such situations professionally and respectfully...
