I stumbled upon this hidden gem one weekend evening, and I’m so glad I did—it was nothing short of serendipitous!
From the moment you step inside, you’re transported to a space that feels refreshingly different from the chaos of everyday life. There’s a calming energy that envelopes you, thanks to the thoughtful ambiance, soulful decor, and peaceful environment. Even the little things—like the messages displayed across the space and the staff’s warm greetings—feel deeply intentional. A unique touch is the barefoot rule near the café area, which further deepens the connection to the grounded, earthy vibe of the place.
Now to the best part—the food! This is a pure vegetarian café that knows how to impress. We ordered: • Watermelon & Feta Salad – Incredibly fresh, generously sprinkled with walnuts and balanced with a dash of lime. It was light, crisp, and refreshing. • Sattu Paratha – Packed with flavour and a hearty amount of sattu, just the way it should be. Comfort food at its best! • Corn & Mushroom Sandwich – Warm, wholesome, and filled to the brim with delicious stuffing. • Paneer & Potato Sliders – The real standout! The subtle aroma of mustard made it a truly memorable bite. A perfect fusion of flavor and creativity.
But what sets this café apart isn’t just the food or the ambiance—it’s the whole experience. There’s so much to do here: from pottery classes to musical nights, yoga sessions, and even boutique-style shopping. It’s more than a café—it’s a wholesome experience.
If you’re looking for a place that nourishes both your palate and your spirit, don’t miss this one. A must-visit for anyone who enjoys meaningful moments, great food, and a...
Read moreNamma Ashram, Whitefield, Bengaluru - We walked into this quaint but cosy looking place where we were requested to leave our footwear at the entrance to the cafe. A bit unsure at first, the pleasure of walking around the whole property which is clean simply because no one wears their outdoor footwear everywhere is unmatched. Then we were surrounded by the refreshing aroma of citronella. We walked into our spacious bedroom that was bright but cosy.
Umesh and Amar are two of the staff who looked after us in our week long stay. It felt like we were being taken care of by very caring family! When one of us was unwell they made special drinks to help. Every bowl of food is made fresh with simple but fresh vegetables. Satvik food that is delicious even while being nutritious and a visual treat!
Room and bathroom are simple but clean. You can request a daily or twice daily cleaning service. They are happy to organise laundry services from a laundromat close by. Pick up and delivery included.
There are two cute gift shops, one of which deals in preloved clothes and some brands that offer their products at special discounts.
There are lovely activities every day - yoga classes, music sessions, children’s clubs, a library, the fabulous cafe (where they use no sugar in their superb desserts and baked goods!). And as I said at the beginning, staff who treat you not as clients but family. The warmth is truly beautiful.
We definitely recommend this place if you want a quiet retreat amidst the metro city madness. There are just two rooms to rent. So do check availability...

One place is designated for the removal of footware..before entering. It's a vegetarian menu.. and the items are all tummy friendly. The staff is there to take your order. The fact is that if you are on your laptop, reading a book or with friends.. then the wait for the food will not unnerve you. It did take time for the food to be served.. but since our main purpose was just to eat .. we enjoyed the time at our hands. The food and drink was yum and hot. It's per portion so if you are eating by yourself it's fine.. otherwise to share is what gives an idea as to how the other plates are. The boutiques are nice to browse through.. we did mange to pick up a couple of pieces. The rooms are on the first floor.. Arun and Mohan ..👍👍 Couple of parking spaces in front of the gate. The chaos of life outside.. is forgotten in this old feel charm.. at least for...
