Few places that we eat turn out to be bad, some ok, some good and some simply mind blowing.
Well this place was one which simply swept me off the feet. After very very long time, I had chance to have food at a restaurant which was just amazing.
Not a single item that we had can be termed as even average.
Point to be noted as first thing first: This place has fantastic wine collection with both imported and Indian wines.
So to start with, we were served with bread basket assortment which was good. They served two dips, one hung curd dip and another tomato salsa dip. Bread quality was good.
We started our meal with Mediterranean hummus bean Falafel. Falafel which is generally made with chick pea paste, this was made of beans paste. Tasted different and must have stuff for veggies. The plating was superb with serving of bread stick.
Bruschetta was nice and crunchy with generous use cherry tomato and slight grated cheese. Simple yet wonderful preparation.
Dolmas: This was such an interesting preparation. Basmati rice soaked in water, cooked in Mediterranean sauce and wrapped in grape plant leaf and then steamed. I had this for first time, and it was quite amazing. It was served with passion fruit dip and half portion of passion fruit. Interesting presentation and great on taste.
Chicken tonnato, such a well curated dish, I loved it to core. Cold cut chicken doled with choicest herbs and tuna mayonnaise. The parsley and cherry tomato seasoning was perfect. Small bit, easy on taste and good on taste.
Grilled Fish, seas bass, was served with Lime gremalota and three bean salad. The presentation was spot on. The fish was grilled well, flesh too fresh and great in taste,
I judge a pizzeria with the quality of margherita pizza they make. And oh boy, it as just amazing. Hand stretched long dough, cooked to perfection over wood fire with right amount of mozzarella and cheddar thrown in. Simplest yet delicious.
Pollo e funghi affumicati was good preparation too, with generous use of roasted chicken pieces and cheese.
Quattro Formagi pizza with diced mushroom was delectable to have too.
They also had served cheese naan which seemed a cross over of pizza and butter naan. Simple pizza bread with topping of cheese. Was so delicious and tasty.
Spaghetti aglio olio pepperoncino preparation was again spot on. Its amazing how nice spaghetti with siple olive oil, pepper corn and a slight basil leaf can taste so amazing.
Salted Muesells was something I was bit skeptical in trying out. But they were cooked perfect and had simple seasoning of cherry tomato, and some drizzle of Italian herb. It was served with garlic bread and lime wedge. It tasted lovely.
In the drinks, Toscano sling was uniquely refreshing. A muddle of red grapes, mint leaves, cinnamon mixed with hibiscus tea, The colour was so beautiful and drink equally refreshing.
Southern Exposure, ginger, celery, apple, and refreshing essence of lime and mint. Perfect for the summer time.
In wine section, we savoured, Jacob Creek Siraz ( red wine) which was squishy and astringent. Goes kind of well for red wine lover. But me being more connoisseur of smooth white wine, switched soon to that.
Black Tower Dornfelder Riesling was smooth and strong at same time. The pour was done in pre cooled glass and it went perfectly well with the food.
But the cherry on the dessert was Mateus , rose wine, the perfect smoothest wine I had after very long time. It was just amazingly well wine .
Dessert had good spread. I especially liked the Canoli that was well done and well dressed.
Charcoal smoke Cheese cake was a innovative take on Newyork cheese cake. It had a infused charcoal flavor which was quite interesting and nice.

๐ฆ The Ambience at this place is simply premium, there is not a single thing to complain about that. I loved their wine bottles showcase that gives a touch of uniqueness and luxury. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available too. The outdoor seating is pretty good, but the indoor seating is a place to be. This place is perfect for dinner dates. They can accommodate atleast 80-100pax.
๐ธService at the restaurant is second to none, they are courteous and well disciplined. Mr. Somesh was the person who took good care of us. He was very eager to explain about the food and suggested us with the best ones to order.
๐ซ๐ฝ๏ธWhat I ate โ๏ธ ๐ฑ Mediterranean hummus, bean falafel spicy muhammara โก๏ธ This was an amazing plate not only to the taste buds but also looked tempting to the eyes. The hummus dip was too good for the soft pita bread. Bean falafel was nicely fried and the muhammara was a nice, spicy and gravy too.
๐Sauted mussels โก๏ธ This was the first time I had the mussels in Bengaluru. Mussels must be prepared precisely given the odour of seafood while preserving them. Sauted mussels was yet again amazing to taste, the meat seemed to be fresh and cooked well.
๐Olives ascolane โก๏ธ They were the meat balls which tasted good. The olive ascolane were deep fried treats which went well with the cocktails.
๐ Chicken tonnato โก๏ธ The chicken tonnato was a little disappointing when compared with the other food items. The tuna, sauce was nicely garnished over the chicken chunks along with some mayonnaise.
๐ธClassic mojito โก๏ธ This was a great mixture of white rum, along with lime and mint. They had some fizz and tasted good. They went well with the starters.
๐ฅฉClassic manti โก๏ธ It is an authentic Turkish food, they were hot slippery with minced lamb meat. They are the Turkish version of the Chinese dim sums. They were amazing to taste.
๐ญ Spanish sausage โก๏ธ The sausage was well prepared with smoked tomatoes and chillies to give the spicy content to it. They looked colourful and tasted good.
๐All season pizza โก๏ธ It was truly a pizza for all season, it was a vegetable market on the pizza. The pizza had loads of mushrooms, eggplant, roasted bell peppers and artichokes.
๐ Chicken scallopini โก๏ธ The chicken scallopini was a big chicken breast chunk along with mushrooms, sauce and mashed potatoes along with it. The mashed potatoes tasted good.
๐ฅRosemary beef fillet steak โก๏ธ The rosemary beef was simply amazing. I loved the redwine jus along with the sauce that was spread over the beef steak. The combination of both steak and sauce was truly mouth watering.
All in all, I had wonderful experience at Toscano their food is second to none be it with the taste or in terms of presentation. The amount of effort that is put in the presentation of desserts too need to be appreciated. We also had the privilege of talking with chef who was very open in explaining about the food. Ranked as the best Italian restaurant in Bangalore, Toscano opened it doors with new outlet in Whitefield main Road which is Toscano , Wine Connection. This is like adding one more hat to their brand in Bangalore that is opened to have Wine bar where the customer has a chance to choose some of the best wines available from all over the world.
Ambiance:
Its a fine dining restaurant with the interiors beautifully designed with seating arrangements available to cater groups of different sizes.. They do also have outdoor seating area where you can see hanging garden at the entrance which gives a nice look to this place. They do have wine rack in the restaurant to make the audience know what this restaurant is upto.
Went with the staff recommendations & ordered the below dishes for the evening with few friends. Every dish was unique & note worthy.

๐ Sangria Mojito - For the non alcoholic lovers like me, This was the perfect choice.. Loaded with fruits & chilled.. Best for the evening, Worth giving a try.. One of my favorite sangria's
๐ Basil Orange - Refreshing Orange juice with basil & mint.. pretty decent i would say.

๐ Mediterranean Hummus , Bean Falafel : Classic Mediterranean dish where in platter we had mini pita bread, bean falafel , breadsticks served along with Hummus & spicy Muhammmara & olives :)
๐ Classi Manti : Kudos to chef for the dish creation. lamb meat dumplings are melt in mouth, served with yogurt sauce #MustRecommend
๐ Sauted Mussels : Never had mussels earlier, But this is a pretty decent experience to try as the mussels are sauted in Italian way is served with herb bread toast so to balance the sea flavor
๐ Chicken Tonnato : cold sliced chicken with tuna mayonnaise & capers.. Love the creamy flavor yet i wish it can be little spicy for the taste bud preferences..Olives & cherry tomatoes around the dish helps me to get the extra flavor though :)
๐ All Season Pizza : You cant miss ordering pizza coming to a place like this... Pizza perfection :) Thin crust pizza with generous topping along with cheese gives it niche taste
๐ Fettucine Agilo olive : Traditional Italian Agilo Olive made with long cut pasta with butter sauce keeping it minimal without heavy cheese
Desserts:
๐ Charcoal Smoked Cheesecake : Cheesecake baked on smoked aroma takes around 12 hours to be done. Served along fresh fruits is a must try for cheesecake lovers #MustRecommend
๐ chocolate almond Flakes Steam Cake : Thick chocolate almond cake is my favorite dessert here,topped with almonds is served along the basil gelato.. basil gelato was very refreshing.. Loved it
๐ Pistachio Brownie Tiramisu : setup on pistachio biscuit , Tiramisu is very good here.. Coffee gelato came as a surprise along with it. lovely
