New Kadai Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Good place to visit for lunch and dinner along with your family.. The ambience is decent.. Food is average to good.. Recommended foods are hyderabadi style biriyani (used to serve Basmati but these days serving normal rice), chicken patiyala, naan.... Would prefer biriyani rice with some side dish.. Haven't tried mutton dishes..

14th Aug 2024 : Went for dinner. Ordered roti and naan with patiyala chicken along with Grill chicken biriyani. Everything is good but the food is plenty for 2 people. So I asked the waiter to replace the Grill chicken biriyani (which is yet to be served by the waiter) with biriyani rice. He refused to cancel the order, says the order already billed hence he can't. I asked him to check with the manager. He said there are no other people except him to cancel the order. Without cancelling the waiter served the same which is too much for us to have for dinner. So we parcel the remaining and gave it to stray dogs near our house. Hence my request to the hotel is pls try to cancel the food if the customer is requesting it. Bad, bad, bad and bad! Service and food - the two primary requirements of a restaurant. We bought grill chicken (parcel); that was stale/almost rotten. We couldn’t eat even a few pieces. When we came with the stale-rotten chicken back to the restaurant, the guy in the cash counter treated us like we weren’t welcome. He said statements like ‘This is not a complaint and cannot be said as one’. When asked for a solution, he was talking stories - saying his chicken is all sold out by the end of the day, demand for his chicken is a lot in the area; all this to tell us that we were lying about the stale rotten chicken. He did not even bother to treat us customers properly. After a long 20 min talk and wait, finally they agreed to have an exchange for the spoilt chicken they gave in the first place. This was the second time that we got stale chicken from this hotel; the first time we did not even bother to go back as we know mistakes do happen. But this time, we did and was treated like said earlier. This was a real bad experience. I don’t think we are going back to the restaurant. Food sometimes may not be of the first quality, we can understand, happens sometimes, but...

I parcel mushroom pepper dry and this is the worst experience I ever had with mushroom. They changed me ₹280 for that and the quality is like some stupid ₹50 street food corner. Even the packaging is street vala thela I throw everything to dustbin, bitter in taste all the masala were burnt, they just don't know how to cook mushroom.

In front of this restaurant there is another restaurant named uttam sagar and they changed ₹180 for pepper dry mushroom and the taste is awesome. Don't judge with money in 180 the quantity will be less but the taste is awesome. And this new kadai family restaurant give you the same quantity with higher price.

In ₹300 one can get best of the best mushroom chilli/ pepper dry in much better restaurants in Bengaluru.

Even in small bar you will get better dish...
