Tasty north India food, lot of spices which I like. Authenticity is maintained, but quality of meat is not great.
Food: New Punjabi restaurant is North India cuisine restaurant. One of the good dishes they serve are, Butter chicken, Mutton Rogan josh. Food taste is awesome. However I did not like the quality of meat. I had tried Mutton Rogan Josh. It was rubbery and chewy. You can find Different Paranthas, roti, chicken curries, mutton curries and Kababs. Vegeterian options are equally delicious. One reason you should try this restaurant is because of it's authenticity in food.
Cost: Place is very reasonable on cost. You can have your full meal in 150 rupees. Rotis are around 6rs each.
Ambience: It is not the best of it can be. However tables and chairs are cleaned regularly. My guess is that owner has bought second hand furniture to decrease the cost of opening restaurant.
Staff: Restaurant is managed by couple of Punjabi guys and under them 10-12 people work helping them in cleaning, cooking, serving and waiting. Just like a round the corner restaurant. Nothing so fancy. Staff is decent but immatured in how to handle customers. Personally I did not have any issues in this Dept.
Payment: Only Complaint I have is of mode of payment. Right now, they only accept cash. Owner claim that their card machine is not working. However if you don't have cash, there is...

Even the interior doesn't inspire much confidence with plastic chairs and tilting tables. However, persist, and you shall be rewarded. The food is exemplary, especially the tandoor selection. I cannot have enough of the Tandoori chicken and the oh so warm and fresh tandoori rotis. Top it up with s genuine thick creamy Punjabi lassi, and overall a recipe for blissful Punjabi food haven. The best part though is the prices, affordable enough to be a daily lunch place. Please remember to carry cash though, or have digital wallet/UPI payments. The card machine almost never works.
TL:DR Excellent Tandoor food at...

The place has a Punjabi-dhaba vibe, seating for around 30-40 people, and even a clean washroom. We ordered Aloo-Pyaaz Paranthas (2 per plate), big size & tasty, rich with ghee, served with achar, onions and dahi. Quantity was enough so I packed one parantha from my plate for later. Prices were very reasonable. Also packed a sweet lassi (thick & refreshing). The owner (Sardarji) was friendly and shared how locals and army folks drop by for paranthas and lassi. This will be my go-to spot in the area for North Indian...
