The food here is good, better than KFC and Leon Grill for now. Will need to see if they keep this standard up but it's great stuff. I had almost every item from here (barring wraps and bowls) , so I'll be reviewing every menu item I've had so far:
MAIN COURSE:
Signature Fried Chicken - 3.5/5
Standard fried chicken that is surprisingly tender. A huge plus point is the white meat inside, which means the chicken is definitely fresh and not frozen for a week or more like KFC (dark meat). The seasoning is a mild spice mix, nothing searing but flavorful enough to be enjoyable
Sweet Chilli/Smokey Pepper Fried Chicken - 4/5
Basically the signature fried chicken coated in a sauce of choice. These honestly elevate the flavours of the fried chicken, but you need to make sure you eat it hot. Also this isn't dry. So if you swiggy this from more than 3 kms away it'll be a letdown. The sweet chilli is spicy but more on the sweet side, the smokey pepper has a nice bbq tinged flavour to it. I liked both well enough.
Grilled Chicken - 3.5/5
It's plain grilled chicken, american style. Those expecting a middle eastern style grilled chicken (like Leon's) will be left disappointed . They coat the grill chicken in a light glaze sauce that elevates the flavour. It's very very tender and the glaze tastes good too. There's not much depth to the chicken itself but it's alright overall.
Classic/Bold Fried Chicken Burger - 3/5
Don't really understand how Popeye's fumbled this, when fried chicken burgers are easily the most popular type of burger here (they're technically sandwiches). The bun is great ( a nice brioche), but the thigh is just too plain and bland. Even the "bold" (spicy) version is milquetoast at best. The burger overall tastes sour and mild. Just make the bold version actually spicy guys, it's not that hard?!?
SIDES:
Sweet Chilli Wings - 4/5
They're pretty good, but some might find them a bit tooo salty because they tend to overflake the wings with the sweet chilli seasoning. But I think they're a nice side.
Cajun Chicken Popcorn - 3/5
They're ok. The masala coat isn't anything special and there's not much meat to them. The flavour itself is just the signature chucken but without the depth of umami. You're left wanting more.
Chicken Tenders - 5/5
These are amazing, they are drenched in buttermilk , then batter fried and have a subtle flavour to them. Great with the cajun mayo dip. They may be a miss if you love spice but if you love chicken umami it's amazing and a must try.
Cajun French Fries - 1/5
Frankly terrible. They are thin, flavourless and not crispy at all. But ig if you need a palate cleanser between chicken or drink they do their job.
Cajun Onion Rings - 0/5
Avoid these at all cost and Popeye's, if you are reading this, please remove them from your menu. They're terrible.
SERVICE:
Incredibly fast service, you'll get your order in 10-12 minutes tops. I went on a Friday evening and got my order in 10 minutes.
ATMOSPHERE:
Nice clean ambience, only problem is there aren't enough seats with charging ports. But it's clean and...
Read moreWell well well…. This was a bit disappointing but maybe the reason is too much of an expectation! First things first, the store experience overall was good. The ambiance is neat and spacious, the seating is comfortable and the staff is great! The menu options and options to order are also quite decent and allow for flexibility. The menu is quite refreshing as well, but there’s nothing breathtaking or extraordinary about it.
Coming to the food, the burgers and wraps are good but surely KFC does it better when it comes to fried chicken burgers. The signature fried chicken too felt to be too oily and the outer layer wasn’t as well made as some other vendors and was peeling off. The taste too was quite ordinary and there wasn’t anything too original. The wraps however are much better! The sweet chilly chicken wrap and the barbecue one were really good and the fillings and meat in them was also quite generous. The wings too are pretty good here (beats KFC in this area!!) and they even offer this in boneless option which is great! I surely recommend the hot and sweet along with wood smoke - these are well made and unique and something that’s really enjoyable.
The place also offers rice bowls (did not try) and value meals along with options and variety of fried chicken and wings.
Overall it’s a decent place with a good menu and...

Popeyes Franchise is operated by Jubilant Foods in India. When compared to other renowned brands like KFC, McDonald's, Other Indian brands like IFC by Imperio, Easy Bites by Empire Restaurants, Five Star fried chicken etc, Popeyes is doing moderate.
In terms of taste, quality, hygiene it's really worth it however they are premium when it comes to price tag. Their service level is also good. One can try for dine in and take away also.
I strongly felt that there is more to improve from Popeyes side interms of offerings from their menu. As the items are very limited in the menu and there are not many combo options available when compared to KFC, Mc Donalds etc. They should really think about adding more combo offerings between Burgers, Bowls, Fried Chicken, Soft drinks, Fries etc
Don't make orders via Zomato or Swiggy as their apps does not show any monthly offers or seasonal offers provided by outlets. Also prices would vary in these apps.
