A Peaky Blinders-Inspired Space with Culinary Hits and Misses Saturday evening with my 7 cousins took us to this unique venue inspired by British interiors and the iconic Peaky Blinders theme. The establishment successfully captures a vintage, industrial aesthetic with its carefully curated design elements. The interiors are undeniably stylish, but the dim lighting, while in line with the ambiance, made the space feel slightly dull. Opting for outdoor seating was a wise choice, as it offered a peaceful environment compared to the loud, boisterous music indoors, which made conversations nearly impossible.
Here’s a detailed critique of the dishes and drinks we tried:
Bar Items Beer:Crisp, fresh, and refreshing—perfect for a casual evening. Mansion House and Bacardi White Rum: Reliable classics that added to the experience.
Starters Paneer Malai Tikka (3/5): The paneer was soft and well-cooked, but the filling lacked any distinct flavor, leaving the dish bland and uninspiring. American Crispy Corn (4.5/5): A standout appetizer! The corn was perfectly crispy and juicy, with just the right amount of spice to keep it addictive. Hara Bhara Kebab (5/5): Beautifully shaped into cutlets, these kebabs were a burst of flavors, expertly prepared and thoroughly satisfying. Chicken Tikka (4/5): This dish scored high on presentation, arriving in a dramatic grilled cage. The chicken was flavorful and tender but lacked seasoning inside, which held it back from perfection. Devil’s Chicken (5/5): This dish hit all the right notes—juicy, tangy, spicy, and utterly delicious. A definite must-try. Andhra Chilli Chicken (5/5): Another highlight of the evening. The chicken was fresh, crispy, tangy, and packed with bold flavors that left us wanting more. Chicken Nachos (3.5/5): Unfortunately, this dish fell short. While the nachos were crispy, the overall execution was lacking. The chicken was dry, and there wasn’t enough sour cream or tanginess to elevate the flavors.
Service- The staff’s attentiveness and efficiency were commendable, ensuring that we had a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.
Final Thoughts This Peaky Blinders -inspired venue offers a unique atmosphere with a blend of vintage British charm and bold aesthetics. While a few dishes could benefit from stronger flavors, the highlights—like the Hara Bhara Kebab, Dragon Chicken, and Andhra Chilli Chicken—make it worth a visit. Pair this with attentive service and a charming outdoor setting, and you have an evening well...
Read moreWe recently visited this venue to celebrate a friend's birthday with a group of around 8–9 people. While the overall ambience was cozy and reminiscent of a fine dining space, the experience unfortunately left a lot to be desired, particularly in terms of customer service and how the staff managed closing time.
The celebration was going well until about 12:30 AM, when the bouncers approached our table and asked us to leave as the pub was closing. We tried to explain that we had just cut the birthday cake at midnight, and many guests hadn’t even had a chance to finish their food. Rather than offering even a short grace period or a courteous heads-up earlier in the evening, the staff began turning off the lights in our section by 12:40 AM while some of our group were still eating. This was not only inconsiderate but frankly unsafe and inhospitable. Our guests had to rely on mobile phone flashlights to continue eating in the dark, which felt disrespectful given the bill totaled between ₹25,000 to ₹30,000.
Even worse, instead of allowing us a dignified exit, a staff member began collecting the leftover beer from our beer tower and poured it into an empty Bisleri bottle without asking this felt shockingly unprofessional and left a sour impression. While we understand and fully respect that establishments have closing times, the manner in which we were rushed and the lack of communication prior to 12:30 AM were unacceptable. Had we known the venue would start pushing us out so aggressively, we would have planned the celebration to wrap up earlier.
On the brighter side, the food was excellent flavorful and well-presented. The ambience too was decent, though it would benefit from a more spacious or better-managed smoking area. Currently, the only option appears to be a small portion of the terrace, which gets crowded quickly.
In summary, while the food quality and ambience were commendable, the poor handling of closing time and lack of basic hospitality significantly undermined our experience. We hope the management takes feedback seriously and implements better end-of-day service protocols to ensure guests aren’t made to feel unwelcome after spending a...
