After revisiting the place after three months, I can confidently say that the quality of service has significantly improved. The waiting time was minimal, the service was efficient, and the staff were polite. Most importantly, the food quality was excellent, and the service was remarkably quick. This experience definitely deserves a five-star rating this time.
I recently heard a lot about this small, cozy place and decided to give it a try. The first time I went, the food was good, albeit arriving after nearly an hour of waiting. I figured it was just one of those days where the food service was delayed, so I didn't think too much of it.
Today, I went there again, this time with two of my office colleagues. We patiently waited and waited for the server to take our order. The server seemed unresponsive, not even acknowledging our presence, as if we were asking for something extraordinary. To our surprise, he took orders from other tables that arrived after us. After some time, a lady finally came to take our order.
We placed our order for chole bhature, Amritsari paratha, and a chicken biriyani. Strangely, we were served sirke wale pyaas and chutney while we were still waiting for our main dishes. Hungry, we ate what was served to us and continued to wait.
The wait seemed endless, and we kept waiting for our food. Finally, the chole bhature and paratha arrived, but the biriyani was nowhere in sight. We had already finished our lunch by the time it was served.
As if the wait wasn't frustrating enough, when my colleague requested regular water, the server handed over water from the wash basin, stating they only offered packaged water for purchase, which we found out after complaining.
In total, it took almost 45 minutes to an hour to serve a simple order. If you have plenty of time on your hands, you might want to give this place a try. Otherwise, I'd recommend sitting on the ground floor if you're looking for faster service. The quickest things to order here seem to be sirke wale pyaas and chutney, and sweet lassi—not even regular water, sadly, which they don't offer...
Read moreI recently dined at Sardarji Da Dabha and overall, I found it to be a satisfactory experience. The restaurant offers good food, especially considering its affordable price range. However, one drawback was the limited space available.
Let's start with the positives. The food at Sardarji Da Dabha is definitely worth mentioning. The menu offers a variety of dishes that cater to different tastes, and the quality of the food was quite impressive. The flavors were rich, the spices were well-balanced, and the portions were generous. It was evident that the chefs put effort into preparing the dishes with care and authenticity. Moreover, considering the reasonable prices, I found the value for money to be quite good.
On the downside, the restaurant's space was a bit cramped. The seating area felt congested, and it was challenging to move around comfortably, especially during peak hours. This limited space created a somewhat crowded and noisy atmosphere, which might not be ideal for those seeking a more relaxed dining experience or for larger groups.
Despite the space constraint, the staff members were attentive and friendly. They provided efficient service and were willing to accommodate requests and answer questions about the menu.
In conclusion, Sardarji Da Dabha offers good food that satisfies cravings without putting a strain on your wallet. However, it's important to note that the limited space can be a drawback, particularly if you prefer a more spacious and tranquil dining environment. If you're looking for a quick and tasty meal without expecting too much in terms of ambiance, this restaurant could be a...
Read more3.5 stars for hospitality and service 1.5 stars for food taste and quality First time visit, ordered chatkari soya , Lassi, paneer roll Soya starter was served cold, quality of soya chaap is pathetic just like a frozen maida chunks, felt it was spoilt with sourness /couple of days old preserved in fridge. There are other best places in Bangalore that serve authentic and high quality soya chaap. Lassi was less sweet and very diluted not thick and creamy, Paneer roll was Okay in taste not too authentic or like a signature dish.(only thing we could eat as it was served hot)
4.7 stars on Google review doesn't live up to the ratings, High priced menu, not worth the spend. May be cos of the location? Understand the challenges in food industry, but should limit the number of items and focus on good signature dishes.
Not sure of other items, they may be good based on other reviews. Choice left to individual discretion. Best wishes to the team and hopefully serve fresh cooked and hot food specially...
