I have been an ardent customer of Sharon Tea Stall for quite many years, but a recent incident in their branch at Kaggadasapura left me perturbed and disturbing.
One of the attenders, there called by Bharath in the store was so unruly and unprofessional and this guy has always been one of those who used to be much better, atleast when he started early with the outlet. Maybe, now that he has been with the branch for too long, he thinks it is okay to talk to customers like they are his house pet.
As another day, I went to the store to sip a tea and after i was done, by accident i dropped a glass that was kept on a table which is FOREVER filled to its entire area, while this should be used by customers for them to use it for dining or stand to sip their teas, but instead the table is too often filled with just cups and none of the store boys are least bothered to even clean it up. As this was an accident that i didn't even notice or had any intention of dropping just that precious 'One Glass', as i was leaving, one of the attender, calls out saying that the manager is calling and he points to Bharath, which i dont think he was one as it what was claimed. Well anyway, even if he is, am sure he has an even more bigger responsibility of talking with the right mannerism or voyeur to a customer, instead he to chose to be a dick-head. He called me and asked me to pay for the glass, as if i was someone new to the store and when i tried to explain that it was by mistake, he kept still insisting that i pay and i cannot walk out, or he knows how to collect it from me. This tone of his was so unwelcome and when i yelled at him for being so unprofessional and rude, he went further to snap at me by saying, stop yelling, you will 'DIE' out of an increase in your BP. I was so taken aback, when he used a statement like this, as he had no business to talk about any customer especially about something that is sensitive, for something that was trivial. The others in the store to also jeered to the conversation, instead of curbing it.
I have been Sharon's customer at various outlets for more than 8 years and more, and in none of the outlets i have been ever spoken or treated so shabbily. I would never ever recommend anyone to visit this outlet and i hope someone from the Sharon management takes notice, to make the...
Read moreSharon Tea is a decent place to spend 15-20 mins of your time with a flavourful cup of tea. The staff are friendly and courteous. One can choose tea to be served in a regular glass or 'matka'. Sharon Special Tea is probably the pick of the lot and is a mildly spicy, yet sweet tea. For the purists, dum tea is a great option with the distinct dum flavour! One can also choose warm cookies (slightly salted), samosas or other savouries to go along with their tea and the quality and taste will not disappoint. They also sell packaged tea and i will be picking one up soon.
There's no seating arrangement so one must find a spot to stand and drink their tea. The area in front of the store is not big and feels crowded if 10-15 people are there but that's okay and isn't a big deal for me. It's a decent place to hang out if you have 15-20 mins to burn and is definitely...
Read moreWell, I am one of the big fans of Sharon Tea Stall and have been a loyal customer to them for quite a long time. But what happened today is unexpected. We ordered 2 cold coffee and the guys were talking to each other and we confirmed 2 cold coffees. After 10 mins they came up with two cold badam milk. When we noticed that it was not coffee and tried to ask what is this then the guy started screaming "Galti toh insaan se hi hota hai. Coffee khatam ho gaya tha." Yaar we can understand if they could have told us before that coffee is not available. What's the point of wasting each other's time? Management really needs to take care of these situations. Really...
