Though this restaurant is situated on the busy main road of RT Nagar, I didn't visited this restaurant till last week. May be because it's branding is not too prominent or may be due to the fact that it appears dull from outside.
AMBIANCE: Surprisingly this restaurant offers service. There are around 15 tables in the restaurant and the setup is very basic. Dining area is decently vast. Kitchen occupies 40% of the whole premises and hygiene factor is satisfying.
SERVICE: Nothing much to discuss about. In one word it's straight forward. At the time I visited only one server was handling whole restaurant as only few customers were there. He served both food and bill quickly.
FOOD: Menu is typical Darshini kind, they serve most of the south Indian breakfast items and limited north indian dishes. As i went for breakfast over there I ordered Vada and Masal dosa. Both were average as vada was missing the crispiness and dosa was too bland. Chutney served with it was quite good and alloo palya too. We ended our breakfast session quickly within 15 mins.
EVERYTHING ELSE: Two Wheeler Parking won't be a problem. Don't expect too much quality. Price is really cheap.
FINAL VERDICT: You can visit this restaurant only if you are in two situation. If you have only 100 bucks in your pocket or if you are lazy enough to walk further 400mtrs where some other good restaurants are...
Read moreSichi Veg Restaurant used to be my go-to spot for its outstanding taste, impeccable hygiene, generous portions, and top-notch quality. It was always my number one priority for dining out. The aroma of their sambhar is still as enticing as ever, bringing back fond memories of countless satisfying meals.
However, my recent visit after two years was a mixed experience. I went in with high expectations, hoping that the restaurant had maintained its excellent standards. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with some aspects of my meal. I ordered a masala dosa, which was far from the great quality I remembered. I ended up leaving most of it uneaten.
The buns, which are usually cooked to perfection, were served cold, as was the vada. When food is served hot, it tends to be more enjoyable and appetizing, encouraging you to eat more. Cold food, on the other hand, is less satisfying and diminishes the overall dining experience.
Despite these shortcomings, the overall experience was just okay. I hope Sochi Veg can return to its former glory, as it once set the standard for...
