SLV Swadista — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Have been wanting to review this outlet for long time now and it was quite confusing and daunting. I want to rate it better but just cannot. Have been visiting this place for 8 years and reactions have been a mixed bag. There has been a lot of changes over the years food wise, hospitality and cosmetically. Once you walk into the outlet one can just smell the pure aroma of arrogance and attitude....not to forget the food though. A lot of new dishes have been introduced over the years especially in the self service area which is quite reasonably priced and that's a plus point. Except for idly and sambar the quality of the rest has changed considerably. Some positive and some negative. Rest room cannot be used throughout as it is allowed for use only after the table service area opens...and that's quite odd. The pricing in the service area is very high and is at par with hotels like Hara and 1947, which really doesn't justify with the quality and quantity served. One has to always keep an eye at the self service area cleaners, if one turns his back to get an extra spoon or chutney sambar , the plate can just vanish. Best to avoid peak hours as it is very chaotic and suffocating. At most times the cash counter, chat and juice section staff are very arrogant which is a big let down. Food quality is very good. Service is not that great. We keep going here for North and South Indian food. Chats and Jiuces are also available.

Ground floor - Fast Food First Floor - Service

Edited: 29-Dec-2018 First floor is non-ac. Ambience is worsened compared to the last visit. But food tastes really amazing. So retaining the same rating.

Chat: we took masala puri, yumm. Without much masala.

Starters: ordered babycorn Manchurian. Even that tasted really good.

Dosa: Rawa onion and Rawa masala were also very good. Very less crown on Saturday late afternoon. So service...

SLV Swadishta, Hotel is popular in BSK Shopping complex area. It seems due to pandemic business is dull, so they have closed the service place in 1st floor. We had Onion dose today. Taste was not that tempting. Only coffee drinking people are more, . Quality should be on top priority. Scope for improvement are plenty. Keeping the regular customers in tact and getting new ones is imp. Wish them best, as they have survived in...
