Extremely Disappointing Experience with this Cake of the Day Shop

I'm writing this review as a warning to others: avoid cake of the day at all costs if you want a quality cake that matches your expectations.

I had placed an advance order for my wife's birthday cake, showing the shopkeeper a picture of the exact design, flavor, and color I wanted. I explicitly told them to replicate the cake. However, when I went to collect the cake the next day, I was shocked to find a completely different design, color, and flavor.

When I confronted the shop owner, he blamed it on a "phone camera issue" that prevented his staff from taking a proper photo. After some argument, he agreed to make another cake. Unfortunately, the second attempt was also a failure. The quality and design were subpar, and it didn't match the original picture I provided.

The level of incompetence and lack of attention to detail is appalling. If you want a cake that meets your expectations, do not go to Cake of the day. Their quality and flavors are not worth the disappointment.

They have good variety of cakes and pastries. They also sell typical bakery items like puffs,bread, biscuits,buns, pizzas,etc which are good enough and overall they're moderately priced. The problem lies with the staff .. they're nothing less than robots and many a times very very blunt and arrogant. I have seen many a times if one buys a pastry or cake from the display coolers the price of it is literally shouted at your face... I really don't understand why, in spite of them being price tagged. The take away card board boxes really smell...one cannot keep the cake or pastry in it for more than 10 minutes...else the pastry starts smelling of cardboard. I feel the staff should be trained at smiling back at customers and since the staff here are all men they should be also be trained how to look at a lady when...

I had the worst experience with this shop. I have been their customer for nearly 10 years, and for all my celebrations, I have ordered cakes from this place. Recently, I placed an order for a Spiderman cake for my kid's birthday, and I was very disappointed with their service and customer response. I asked the shop staff to change the shape of the Spiderman figure, which was triangular, but they didn’t comply. The price was also too high for a regular cake. When I confronted the owner and asked if he was satisfied with their work, I was even more disappointed by his response. Business owners should accept their mistakes and at least try to resolve issues, rather than adopting a 'my way or the highway' attitude. I am never going to this...
