We went to Spice Garden today for some good food since the restaurant has a 4.5 rating on Google. We ordered garlic prawns, bread, and chicken. At first, they served us prawns, and while the first two pieces were fine, the third prawn I ate was completely spoiled. The moment I bit into it, there was a rotten taste and smell that even my husband noticed. It was so bad that I actually vomited.
I was shocked at how they could serve such rotten seafood to customers. When we complained, instead of apologizing sincerely, the staff simply said, “Sir, the rest of your food is ready, please take that,” and insisted we should have told them earlier. Honestly, if the food itself is rotten, how can customers even expect safe service? To make it worse, they still charged us for the prawns, which is unacceptable. (I have uploaded the bill as proof.)
Restaurants like this create disgust towards food. We always choose good places for dining, but this was one of the worst experiences. After coming home, I checked the reviews again and saw that many people had faced the same issue before — so clearly, this is not a one-time mistake.
My request: Please don’t go by ratings alone. Read the negative reviews too. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place. Very bad experience, very unhygienic food, and...
Read moreSecond time visited for the ambiance. just to sit at the open garden and have the food but they said due to limited number of staffs, they won't have services at the open garden area. First time there was some party they didn't allow to dine-in. This time also not favorable to customer :( The service was good, starters are really tasty, but yesterday biriyani was pathetic, the mutton handi and plain dum biriyani was soaked into salt water. The mutton was not properly cooked, this is my second visit, I repeated the same menu which are suggested by the staff on my first visit. that time all items are too good. But yesterday disappointed with the biriyani. Too much salt. Please try to keep up the consistency in the taste. If you have restricted usage in the garden area please define and display in the board. It will be helpful for the customer to decide to step-in and have...
Read moreWe had terrible experience at Spice Garden. The cashier was extremely rude and was asking us to pay 100 for a broken glass or bring that glass from DMart. When we went to DMart to buy the same glass we found the glass piece to be 40 rupees. Moreover I had a slight pain in my stomach and even the food was not that well. He was arrogant and not at all understanding. Coming from hospitality this was the worst restaurant experience we had. I’ll take this thing to media aswell. This is not how you treat your customers. They are advertising their food as north indian restaurant with no idea about the food taste aswell. The worst butter chicken I had in a long time. Please do not visit this place. There are many other places in Bangalore which...
