I visited Thissurkaran's in Tavarakkare, and I must say, I found it to be quite overrated. The food and service were just okay. We ordered puttu, choora curry, idiyappam, and beef roast. The puttu was very nice, soft, and well-cooked. However, I ordered choora curry but was served motha curry without any prior discussion. The motha curry wasn't fresh, but the gravy was tasty. The idiyappam was hard and cold. The beef roast, though cooked well, didn't seem to be beef meat, which was disappointing. The dominant smell and taste of cardamom in the beef roast were not to my liking. To top it off, we ordered tea, which seemed to be sourced from outside and resembled Bangalore masala tea, instead of the normal Kerala tea we expected. The restaurant had parking for bikes but not for cars. The prices were just okay, and the quantity of food was fine.

Read moreThe food at the hotel was good, but not exceptional. While the flavors were enjoyable, they lacked the wow factor that would make for a truly memorable dining experience. The variety was decent, and some dishes stood out, but overall, there’s room for improvement in terms of taste and presentation.
Service and cleanliness, however, posed noticeable challenges. Staff interactions were polite, but efficiency could be better. There were delays in response times, and the overall attentiveness didn’t meet expectations. Cleanliness, particularly in common areas and the dining section, needed more consistency to ensure a comfortable experience for guests.
While the stay wasn’t entirely disappointing, enhancements in service quality and hygiene standards would significantly elevate the experience. A bit more attention to detail could make this hotel a stronger contender for...
Read moreI have been visiting this shop for the past three years and have never been disappointed. However, there are a couple of points to highlight. The food quality and taste have never declined or felt odd during my visits; however, the last time I visited, the beef curry, kappa, and fish were ice cold, and should have been served hot. The price of the beef quarter seems a bit high; a one-quarter bowl costs 170 rupees, which is pricey. Regarding seating capacity, an upgrade or extension is needed. During peak times, the only option is to sit wherever you find a seat rather than with your friends. Apart from these points, it is a really good food spot in the...
