We had gone for early dinner on 26/12/21 and had ordered alacarte. This was our third visit after a long gap. In our previous visits we had always found the food to be overpriced and nothing exceptional (to deserve the high price). However, we thought of giving it another try. However this one is for sure the last one. Three members of the family suffered from gastroenteritis after eating the food. We are suspecting that the boondi raita was substandard. With a price of₹270 per plate that is the last thing one would expect. Also we have a feeling that some stale pieces were mixed with fresh ones both in the fish tikka and the paneer pasanda. Being the non complaining type we ignored that and were generous enough to give a good feedback. Read moreThe staff asks water option as RO water or Mineral water at the beginning. While at the time of bill, they charge extravagant double of the MRP of the water bottle stating it is Natural Mineral Water. None of the staff servers mentioned this while asking for water options. It is a complete marketing gimmick to loot customers. Such kind of cheap stunts are not expected from a heritage property like this. Moreover, when this is highlighted, the manager named Mayank Sharma was extremely rude and calls their own staff uneducated. This shows lack of proper training as well at a five star property. Extremely pathetic and unprofessional behaviour of the manager and such cheap money making stunts not expected...
Read more15-Nov 2020 dinner. It's 3.5 stars for me. 3 stars will be little harsh but definitely not 4 stars for my experience. Food was delicious, ambience is good (nothing extravagant) but service was slow and leaning towards lethargic. At 1700 INR per head cost, I would rather recommend the hotel to step up for better services and to guest, one has to look for "value for money" factor as well (a very underrated dimension in diner's experience especially in Indian hotels since footfalls are high) Hotel Jahanuma has its name since ages but if we take other national hotels of panache and global standards to match, I would recommend to management to NOT get complacent due to high footfalls and step up the game in...
