Though the name of the restaurant is “Atithi Devo Bhava”, they don’t adhere to its true meaning…I and my parents went for dinner at their place after looking at these amazing reviews but my experience was the worst…The ambience is decent…but service is way too slow (and to that they mentioned- “yahan sab fresh banta hai”) haaa haaa…JOKE…I ordered simple veg food for my parents ROTI special thali and dalma and out of all the items (Roti, sewain and rasgolla from that thali was fresh- but the matar curry, dalma and aloo kasaa were completely stale- might be of the previous day or lunch leftover and that too in Odisha’s scorching heat, such cheap business techniques is definitely going to ruin the dish and reputation) The chef on duty was Mr. Bhagvan Pani and on repeated asking, he even admitted of mixing stale potatoes to the curries…Though they have kept the price competitive (in comparison to Odisha hotel and Nimantran) but the food is not worthy…They might be good in their lunch services but not in the dinner for sure….Please avoid visiting at least for your dinner and don’t ruin your mood before a good night sleep 😞☹️
Never going to visit again 🙏🏻 first impression lasts long… (adding pictures for the proof of stale food and good ambience- for I too praise the things that are...
Read moreI recently visited Atithi Devo Bhaba in Saheed Nagar, Bhubaneswar, and it was an experience worth sharing. A friend had recommended this place to me, and I decided to stop by during a lunch break.
We ordered the Mutton Thali, and I must say, the food was quite satisfying for the price. The mutton was tender, well-cooked, and packed with flavor. The spices were perfectly balanced, neither too overwhelming nor too mild. The accompanying sides, such as rice, dal, curry, papad, chutney , bharta and salad, complemented the mutton dish excellently. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring a filling meal.
The ambiance of Atithi Devo Bhaba is casual and cozy, which adds to the authentic vibe. The service was friendly, and the staff made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. What I particularly appreciated was the cleanliness and the quick service, even though the place had a decent crowd.
In terms of value for money, Atithi Devo Bhaba doesn’t disappoint. The quality of food is good, and the pricing is fair for the portion and taste you get.
Overall, if you’re a fan of mutton and looking for a place to enjoy a hearty authentic odia meal in Bhubaneswar, Atithi Devo Bhaba is definitely worth a visit. The mutton dishes, especially the Mutton Thali, are highly...
