Billiards Cafe VIP Road — Restaurant in Bidhannagar

It was a Sunday and Sundays are Fundays, so I and my friends decided to hang out at some cool new place. My friends wanted to play Pool, so we decided to try out this new place called PoolCafe. Pool is a classification of cue sports played on a table with six pockets along the rails, into which balls are deposited. Each specific pool game has its own name; some of the better-known include eight-ball, blackball, nine-ball, ten-ball, seven-ball, straight pool, one-pocket, and bank pool. Pool Cafe has many outlets, the was we visited is located at VIP Road, the address reads as — 160, Kazi Nazrul Islam Ave, Arjunpur, Kaikhali, Kolkata - 700136. Its a lavish place with pool board and quirky interiors with mirrors on the pillars, comfy lounge sofas and bar counter. It provides a seating of approx 30-40 people. My friends played pool while I tried out some of their food items —

Aloo Tikki Burger - The Aloo Tikki in the Burger was very Crispy and crunchy along with the layers of veggies and Cheese in the burger. Really nice in taste.

Veg Akhri White Sauce Pasta — The pasta was delicious with rich creamy texture and loaded with cheese and veggies.

Fried Rice with Chilli Paneer — In main course I went for chinese and ordered fried rice and Chilli Paneer. Fried rice was really good in taste and Chilli Paneer was lip smacking good with the perfect balance of sweet and sour taste of the gravy along fresh Paneer, crisp fried, dipped in it.

In Beverages I went for Pina Vanilla, Beach Strawberry and Oreo Cookie Delight. All the shakes were really great to satisfy your sweet tooth desires and quench your thirst.

The items are priced at very reasonable rates considering both the quality and quantity of the food. The staffs were really polite with prompt service. I really had a great experience. If you also seeking some place to play pool and have good food in a sober ambience, then you can surely try...

Very good and comfy seating arrangement. Ambiance is very good. Staffs were welcoming as well.

But the major problem is your primary motive to visit a pool cafe is playing pool right? They failed miserably right there. They have only one pool table. Table is placed such a way that two side of the table is completely unusable. You can't place cue properly because wall and pillars are so close to the table.

We tried chicken tikka, it was below average. Can't comment about other foods on the manu.

Though it's a pub and menu contains both soft and hard drinks but those weren’t available as of third week of Oct, 2020. They said they will start serving liquors...

Nowadays people especially youth are so much addicted to online games as well as virtual sports. Sports and human interaction are neglected and Pool Cafe come up with the idea of a Games & Food.
