I am rating 1 out of 5 for extremely poor service. I shopped today at the VIP Road shop of Balram Mullick Radharamana Mullick.
I wanted to buy Diwali Mithai. I had a taxi with me and as my car parked on the curb side (public parking area) in front of the store, the Security Guard asked to remove the car. My driver said I have come to buy something. SG said that that space is reserved for the owner of Balram Mullick. Really? The customer should take the car from a public parking area not owned by Balram Mullick because the owner wants the park the car? Is this your standard to treat customers?
I went inside and there was a neatly done pack of mithai on display. I asked the lady behind the counter how much that cost. She said that will cost more than a ₹1000 rupees and kept doing some other work. Well, did she think customers come in to know prices and leave the shop? Shouldn’t she come and ask how much I want and such matters? After I asked her the price, she continued to talk some trivial matter to another staff and didn’t attend to me.
Then I had to insist her to pay attention to me and asked again how much price. She said it had to be calculated and will take time. That’s funny. What else is her job than to sell to customers and tell them correct information. On me insisting, she read our contents to the cashier to calculate price. I asked for that to be billed and went to cashier to pay. The cashier is another example of what should never be done to a customer. While I was waiting to pay, she was on phone talking to someone some trivial matters. When I said I want to pay, she showed me her unhappy face as I broke her off from her telephonic conversation with someone.
You don’t deserve even 1 on 5 for customer service.
I was charged ₹60 for packing of mithai that cost me ₹1300. If packing is not provided by you, do you expect me to carry mithai in my hand? How can you charge me for the small box in which YOU sell me...
