Chennai Square — Restaurant in Bidhannagar

I am usually not a big fan of South Indian food, infact that was the only Cuisine, I used to avoid if anyone ever offered me. Past few 5 years, I had acquainted myself with the taste of South Indian dishes. My preferred south Indian dish are now Vadas and Dosas mostly. I am very skeptical about trying South Indian dishes everywhere, so I keep to selected places only. Of late, I was hearing about a new South Indian Restaurant named Chennai Square, which offers you with great variety of South Indian cuisine and not only that, the dishes are actually different in taste unlike typical taste. They basically try to create a fusion taste of South Indian dishes by adding something to it like a Paw Bhaji or Kurkure, chips, Cheese etc. Recently I came across that Chennai Square has launched their Winter Special Best Sellers menu, so I thought why not give it a try. I visited the Chennai Square outlet located at Salt Lake, the address goes as — 4th Floor, Carnival Cinemas & Big Bazaar Building, Salt LakeSector 3, IB Block - 177&178, Near Columbia Asia Hospital, Kolkata — 700106. Its a Pure Veg restaurant. I tried out —

Chennai Square Rawa Idlis — I usually don't like Idlis at all, but I must say, I tried out their Rawa Idlis and really liked it. The Idlis made out of Suji were really great in taste. And this was Chennai Square special. The Idlis were soft, spongy, and with bits of dal in it. The Idlis were served with 3 types of Chutneys like Mint Chutney (Green), the traditional coconut chutney (white), Mango chutney (Orange) and Sambar.

Mumbaiya Paw Bhaji Dosa — One of the most unique styled Dosa I have ever seen. Dosa with a masala Paw Bhaji placed at the centre of the Dosa. The Dosa was dressed with cheese, onion, coriander. The Paw Bhaji was stuffed with Aloo Bhaji which tasted lip-smacking good. As I said they believe in creating fusion in typical south Indian recipes, and so the fusion of Maharashtrian Paw Bhaji with Dosa. I really liked this dish.

Cheese Burst Dosa — The dosa was cut into 3 roll size shaped peices and made stand vertically with cheese oozing out of it. A must try for cheese lovers like me.

Cheesy French Kurkuru Dosa — Again an out of the box Dosa. The dosa was cut into 3 roll size shaped peices and made stand vertically and loaded with kurkure and cheese. I totally loved it.

Signature Pizza Dosa — Another Dosa with a twist. The Dosa was topped with veggies like Capsicum, Tomato, Onions and speciality was french fries with cheese. A Dosa with french fries was really liked by me, very creative thought.

Chennai Square Idli Sizzlers — I have tried many sizzlers at many places in my life but Idli sizzler was first time. I could never imagine they could come up with something like this. Not only innovative but was really delicious. The Idlis were so soft and juicy and spicy.

Baked Cheese Burst Paw Bhaji — The set of paws loaded with stuffed Cheese on top and layer of Bhaji inside tasted mouth watering good. A simple Maharashtrian dish turned so great. A must try out.

Veg Au-Gratin — As a cheese lover, this dish is my all time favorite and their au gratin preparation was on point. Loaded with fresh veggies baked in cheese and served with Garlic Bread.

I really loved all the dishes I tried. I never thought I would ever like any south Indian dish so much but this was a complete different and great experience. The ambience is very simple and sober decorated with Christmas special decor for the festive season. They provide a seating of approx 30-40 people. The staffs were really polite with prompt service. Its a sheer delight for vegetarians like me. If you are looking for some amazing south Indian food, then this and must visit...

▪︎Firstly I would like to thanks to Chennai Square for the invitation and arrange a event for Food Bloggers Meet and surprise us with beautiful food presentation with perfectly plate Garnishing. Recently At Salt lake Big Bazar, kolkata near IB block Chennai Square is opened their new outlet. Which is basically based on many types or various of unique tasty and delicious south Indian dishes. Their presentation of all dishes are just really really interesting and Unique. They have so many Signature Dishes. With very Simple but beautiful decoration and with peaceful ambiance you can enjoy your South Indian dishes very gracefully and happily. All tests are very good and all the dishes are perfectly cooked. If you are a South Indian food lover then obviously come here and if you are not then also come and try their signature dishes which are best and very hygienic also, I promise you'll fall in love with Chennai Square. Their All dishes will drool you.

▪︎Well when we heard about the cheesy dish , we're drooled all time. Here Is the Cheese Brust Dosa. Yeah, I know this is very rare and unique and uncommon dish, but only this restaurant brings this soft, tasty and beautiful dish for everyone at just pocket friendly budget. It's is filled with lots of cheese, cheese and cheese. Basically it's a Dosa stuffed with tasty veggies Sabji and taste is really really really too yummy and very mouthwatering. Presentation is really soo beautiful and attractive. As I told in my previous posts that this restaurant is always love to give a unique and awesome presentation. South Indian dish in unique experience is just speechless to describe properly.

▪︎After it now come to Special Idli only from this restaurant Basically it is a large and huge size of Idli with pure Ghee flavored. Totally steamed and very unique this dish when you give a bite with chutney and sambar the dish becomes more delicious and more tasty. The dish really very unique and too good. Idli Lover should must try. There Specialization is to surprise everyone with their unique and awesome food presentation, Preparation and unique taste. So, guys don't be late, immediately just go and check out their all delicious foods.

▪︎Then comes the Signature Idli Sizzler comes from also this restaurant. This item is a dish I think Chennai Square only one inventor of it. You can say it's similar to Chicken and fish Sizzler but the taste is very unique of idli Sizzler. It's comes with lots of vegetables which is perfectly cooked. And if we are talking about garnishing then the Chennai Square restaurant one of the best for unique taste and garnishing.

▪︎A unique type Dessert from the beautiful South Indian Restaurant of this. This is looks very cute and very little in size but quite good in taste. This is the compulsory Dessert that served by them to every customer. This is a very attractive way to get a attention of mouth fresh after a beautiful South Indian lunch or Dinner. As I told in previous posts that @chennaisquare makes everything in very unique way, so Desserts also comes in very different way. Really very supportive and friendly...
