This joint was in my list from the day it opened, however could not visit it for some timing issue.so finally visited them consecutive days.on 30th & 31st March 19.The place is very near to the chinarpark busstop. If we are going from VIP road one needs to go towards the chinarpark, & viseversa. So the first day visit was to have their ongoing buffet for dimsum but it was just for lunch so could not opt it.So ordered a chicken suate to dine & had mutton chilli & mutton crispy packed for home. The saute was soft & succulent, taste wise it was bit bland was mixing the spicy part the peanut sauce accompanied with it was also good. They provided some extra pickle salad & namakpare. To cool down all this I had a blue lagoon mocktail. Both of the mutton preparation were lip smacking good.coming to the next day,I went there with my wife for the Dimsum lunch. So they started out with a welcome drink which was a mocktail of sweet lime, next they brought in Clear wonton soup which was good I loved the fried gaarlic in it the most as it was giving a distinct flavour to it.Next they brought in the Main attraction of the pre defined buffet the Dimsums baskate, it consisted of Veg, chicken & pork. Each of them had their distinct colour of their meat.all them were good, next came the fish Bao,this one was bit let down for me as the bun was bit bitter in taste.so they repeated the dimsum & bao once more then they brought in the Main course, it was chicken ramen bowl but yet again another disappointment for me, as the broth was no where near to a ramen broth,it was just like some plain soup.with bit of chicken pieces in it.so when I was all disappointed with this 2 consecutive dishes along came the best dish of the day,the chef's special according to the menu. The coconut dimsum with caramel sauce over it,it was an innovative idea of presenting our Bengali's "patishapta" then they provided us with strawberry ice-cream scoops & lastly ended with a cup of premium tea ,but to me it was a mild green tea.So now I would like to mark them on their ambience its really nicely decorated with dolls, for passing time with friends we have a caremboard and a pool board.Their mocktail station is a minivan.but the music is bit monotonous.they could work on that.so a 4 out of 5.Next coming to the service they are very much polite & if asked they would suggest you the dishes.but I don't liked the charging of service tax after charging a GST so a 2 out of 5 on this.Next is the food they score a 3 out of 5 just cuz of those 2 dishes. So yes I must try from my side, if we are ok with the service charge.Hope...

Read moreThough it took us some time, we finally made it to Friends of Pho, a highly acclaimed restaurant that explores the creative small plates of South-Asia. When you look at the extensive menu, you will see that there is an array of Vietnamese specialities to try. A warm, refreshing, bowl of Vegetable Wanton soup is always a good idea and is especially welcomed during this time of year when the weather turns chilly and crisp. Light and delicious, this bowl of soup was the best way to start our enticing Vietnamese dine-out. The broth stayed nice and hot from start to finish, which was neither too bland nor too pungent. This bowl of steamed wanton and Pok choy in clear soup is one of the best soups we have ever had. The wantons are the lightest yet most flavourful wantons so far. You can also sprinkle some black pepper powder on this nice steaming bowl of soup. The most soothing dish of the evening was the juicy filling wrapped by a translucent surface, Har Gao. The Har Gao (Steamed Prawn Dumplings) was excellent and big. The deliciousness of this first course set the mood for the evening. The flavours of the dish blend seamlessly into a sauce that is versatile enough to coat the dumplings. We had our main courses of Bhetki Fish in Chilli Garlic Sauce and Burnt Garlic Fried-rice with Broccoli– they were all succulent. The Chilli garlic sauce was modestly flavoured and generous in pieces of fish. The fish was soft inside and delightful with flavour-packed chilli-garlic sauce. A perfect dish to wake up your taste buds. The fried rice sautéed with broccoli, garnished with spring onions garlic is a taste that will be remembered for long. The flavour of burnt garlic was predominant yet tasty. Overall, this is a great restaurant and an eatery we would definitely go back to. The food is beautifully executed and the flavours and textures of each dish were thoughtfully served and prepared. Service was attentive without being...
