Review based on quality of food, service, ambience and price.
Food : very less variety. They have only dosas and uthappam. South Indian cousine vegetarian has lot more than just the two. Dosas are oily and batter has a bitter taste. The main thing about dosa is the right batter. The chutneys given are bland. The red chutney which we obtain paying an additional charge is a simple onion chutney. There is no Pesarattu, flavored rice's, appam, kozhambu, pickles of south India, Morappam, panniyarams, or anything other than dosa and uthappam.
Service : this is the main reason for 1 star. If I could give zero I would have done it. The waiters are rude and lazy. One guy refused to give us more than one menu card. We were 7 of us. The same guy waited for us to ask him for a menu card before bringing it in. Regarding taking order the guy simply doesn't wait ! If we take a minute more he goes back to watching TV and we gotta call him again. This is a serious flaw and nobody likes this treatment. The time taken for making dosas is unbelievably long. They bring dosas one by one taking a gap of 10 minutes between each.
Ambience : very minimal. Chair quality is poor. Waiters wearing a dhoti seems to be to compensate all these deficiencies. For washing hands we need to go a long way, till the hotel reception public restroom.
Price : it's costly. Clearly the poor quality of food and service deficiencies make the price exhorbitant. There is no value for money. It's difficult to justify the rates with such irritating waiters. The waiter asked for a tip at the end. That was the icing on this 'perfect' cake. Please exercise caution...

I'm still fuming as I write this review about the abysmal experience my party and I had at Rasam Restaurant on Saturday, May 18th. The sheer incompetence and disregard for customers is staggering.
We waited for over 50 minutes, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that the food was still not served properly. Meanwhile, they seemed to prioritize takeout orders, dispatching them with alarming efficiency while we sat there, ignored and forgotten.
The lack of attention and service was not just disappointing; it was infuriating. How can a restaurant justify serving parcels on time while neglecting its dine-in customers? It's a clear indication of their priorities - and their utter disdain for the people who take the time to sit down and enjoy a meal.
The food, when it finally arrived, was an afterthought. I'm not even going to bother rating it because, frankly, it didn't matter. The experience was already ruined by the appalling service.
Avoid Rasam Restaurant at all costs. Unless they seriously revamp their service and prioritize their dine-in customers, I'll never set foot in...
Read moreUtterly worse experienced i have faced in this @rasam restorant.
We were staying at The stadel hotel and wanted only two idli for my nephew, but they denied to provide us. Why? Because, I visited to the restro at 9:30pm and they have put the sign board of "closed" on the door, but people were still eating in the restro.
Even if you see their opening n closing time on their website, it's open till 10pm.
We requested couple of times that we need for our kid, but still they denied and said "we are closed, n giving food is against our policy".
After requesting many time, the manager didn't come once to talk.
This is the pathetic policy i ever heard. The worse staff behaviour.
How can any restro say NO Food for 3 year old kid. I got food from other restaurant but guess what, by the time we get food my kid slept without having anything.
What kind of policy is this???? Where is your ethics???? Sham on you @rasam restro....
