I recently revisited Story Of Beans and thoroughly enjoyed the overall ambiance. My dining party and I ordered a variety of dishes and had a delightful time, although the service was a bit slow. Unfortunately, even our beverages took upwards of 25-30 minutes to arrive, which was a bit of a drawback.
Here's a breakdown of the dishes we ordered:
Tacos: 4.5/5. Highly recommend these, they were delicious! Peach Iced Tea: 4.5/5. A refreshing and great option to accompany your meal. Kebab Platter: 4/5. Some items were exceptional, while others were average. Honey Chilli Potato: 3.5/5. Spicy and sweet, but a bit too sweet for my taste. Pan-fried Momos: 5/5. These were exceptional - packed with flavor and spiciness. Tandoori Momos: 4/5. The momos were marinated for too long and did not taste fresh. Brownie Milkshake: 5/5. If you love chocolate and brownies, this is a must-try. Quesadilla: 3.5/5. Nothing special about it - not bad but not great either. Nachos Bowl: 4/5. A great option to order for a group when you're looking for something to munch on. Overall, I would recommend this place for the delicious food and enjoyable atmosphere, although be prepared for a...
Read moreI recently visited this place with high hopes, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience.
To begin with, we tried a variety of dishes, including the augratin, ravioli, mozzarella sticks, Greek salad, and Thai green curry, and none of them lived up to our expectations. The augratin was overly bland with no seasoning balance, the ravioli tasted like it had been reheated rather than freshly prepared, and the mozzarella sticks were greasy and lacked the crispness you’d expect. The Greek salad was a soggy mess with poorly selected ingredients, and the Thai green curry was far from authentic — watery and devoid of the rich, aromatic flavors you’d associate with the dish.
The only saving grace was the ambiance, which was cozy and pleasant, but good decor can only take you so far when the food is subpar.
Given the prices and the variety offered, we expected much better quality and flavor. Sadly, it was a letdown, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re just looking for a nice place to sit with no regard...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with my recent visit. What started as a simple meal quickly turned into a disastrous experience. We ordered a shake, Thai green curry, American salt and pepper corn, Manchow soup, and a gratin, and everything was terrible.
The Ferro Rocher shake was more like syrupy milk than a shake—it was undrinkable. The Thai green curry, which I used to enjoy here, tasted like expired ingredients were used and was un edible. The au gratin was somehow ruined beyond recognition. We didn't rather couldnt consume most of what we ordered
When I raised these issues with the server, instead of addressing them or taking accountability, he argued and insisted everything was fine. Worse, when I asked for a feedback form or a direct complaint channel, I was told there was none available.
It’s shocking to see such a once-reliable place fall to such a low standard. I won’t be returning, and I hope management takes this...
