We went to "The Purple blend cafe " in salt Lake. We were group of 7 . Here's our pathetic experience:

We order few drinks and starters first and then second time we order few more things. The first set of food took 40 min exact to come ( we had to ask for a follow up ) and second order came. We understood as saturday crowd brings difficulty in serving, we chose to ignore.

Next,it gets upsetting

In Main course we ordered, Pink sauce pasta. We got something which is not even close to pink sauce.

When asked one server replied and i quote" Ohhh... Now we have to make it pink " . Yes, you have to that's how pink sauce works, otherwise change the name of dish which you cannot cook! My problem is not with sheer incompetence and unprofessionalism staff has shown us because we as human have empathy how it takes to work in a high crowded environment.

My question is the behavior. The server who answered us showed pure indifference, sarcasm and rudeness, while we as a group just wanted logical answer that why pink sauce pasta will look like that? . I hope the cafe's management takes care of such behavior because when we avail a service PAYING OUR MONEY , we'll want the answer with atleast POLITENESS. Learn . The cafes are more, takes less than two second for words to spread. Hope it gets better

This is newly opened joint in Sector 2, Salt Lake. The place is really breath of fresh air and the theme is completely matching with the name of restaurant.

People are also coming wearing purple to match with theme. I felt the restaurant is somewhat a more refined version of Sumo's in terms of aesthetics. Its a vegetarian restaurant and all their dishes were good except gratin which was below average. In starters we tried many thing over there such as Manchow Soup, Crispy Chilli Babycorn, Chilli Mushroom and Gratin.

In main course we tried Masala Kulcha, Paneer, and Fried Rice and we were completely full. Quantity of 1 plate is ample for just 2 people.

You can come this place by getting an auto from Ultadanga and then a small 2 minutes walk. The only downside is less number of staffs. I know its new restaurant that is why i am ignoring slow service but this needs to improved so as to compete with other big names. Overall i would recommend you all to visit this place once.
