I am writing from my father’s account; this is his daughter, Mita. I placed an order for a cake to celebrate my parents’ 51st anniversary. We are visiting Kolkata, our hometown, but live in the US. I looked online, saw their pictures and reviews, and reached out to them. Mr. Sujoy was very helpful in answering my questions promptly, and we went to their site in Salt Lake. They have a small cozy area, it is not a retail shop setup, but where the baking happens and where they take orders. Right as you walk in, you can see the bakers working away and it’s lovely to be able to see a behind the scenes of the cake preparations :) After meeting with the lady that took my order (my apologies, I can’t remember her name), she was very patient, as I took elements from different cakes to combine into one cake for my parents (not easy for them to do). She brought in the main cake designer to help flesh out my overall vision for the cake, and the cake designer/baker is absolutely incredibly talented. She said she studied in Kolkata, but it is obvious she has a natural eye for aesthetics (what will look good). I didn’t give her an exact picture she could copy, but gave her an overall idea of the vision I had for the cake. She took my vision and brought it to life in the cake, and in only a few days time. Although it was not a large cake-it was for a very small, intimate family gathering-they were very timely and professional. The cake turned out beautiful, not only to look at, but tasted great as well! My parents were very happy, and that was all I wanted. I highly recommend Boffocakes and would definitely go back to them in the future, especially for more complicated cakes as I saw what they can do with just a simple cake for a small gathering. I can only imagine what they could create with larger cakes for fancy gatherings! Price was also reasonable for a custom cake and for the quality and taste. I ordered a chef themed cake from Boffa, after an online search on 16 May 2022. It was midnight when I sent them a request and I got an immediate response. Sayona from Boffa. Unhesitatingly spent the next thirty minutes taking me through options and ideas before we finally agreed on size, theme and type of cake. I made an online payment the next morning and the cake was delivered in perfect condition at the specific time that I had requested it. The person who delivered it was also polite and respectful. The cake looked exactly the way we had envisaged from an online image. It tasted excellent and was obviously made from high quality ingredients. I would rate them a 5/5 on customer service, quality, innovation and creativity. The price I felt was slightly high given the size of the cake but when considered in light of the creativity and effort that must have gone into making it, it was worth every penny. Boffo have now got a long term customer in me and I will unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone in Kolkata who wants and...

I did order it the first time seeing all the positive reviews but to my surprise they are only good in designing the cake. The taste wasn’t good. The cake was hard, extremely chewy (not the fondant part). The delivery was super duper late. We kept waiting for 2 hours beyond the specified time. For a party in the afternoon by no means can they deliver your order before 3 PM coz they do the final finishing only when they open the store at 10 or 11 AM ( they mentioned) U have to keep ur guests waiting. I had ordered another cake right the next week from KRAZY for Chocolates city center… trust me it was a fondant cake with an extremely good taste ( same flavour that of bofo cake salt lake) and amazing finish. Extremely disappointed with Bofo…I would never order from here again. 2 stars only...
