If you’re in Patna and looking for a place that serves delicious, authentic flavors with a great ambiance, Chauka should definitely be on your list. This restaurant offers a traditional yet modern dining experience, making it a must-visit for both locals and tourists.
Ambiance & Atmosphere
The moment you step into Chauka, you’re welcomed by a warm and inviting ambiance. The decor is a blend of rustic and contemporary elements, giving it an authentic Indian feel with a touch of elegance. The seating is comfortable, and the overall vibe is calm, well-lit, and perfect for a family outing or a casual dinner with friends.
Food & Taste
We ordered: Chicken Litti – A perfect fusion of traditional Bihari flavors with a rich, smoky taste. The chicken stuffing was flavorful, and the littis were crisp on the outside and soft inside. This is a must-try for anyone visiting Chauka! Handi Paneer – Cooked in an earthen pot, this dish had a deep, rich aroma and a creamy texture. The paneer was fresh, and the gravy was perfectly spiced, making it one of the best paneer dishes we’ve had in Patna. Tandoori Roti – Soft yet slightly crispy, the rotis were the perfect accompaniment to the handi paneer.
Each dish was cooked to perfection, well-seasoned, and had a home-style authenticity that’s hard to find in restaurants these days.
Service & Hygiene
The service was quick and efficient, with staff members being courteous and attentive. A major highlight of Chauka is their separate kitchens for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, ensuring both hygiene and authenticity in flavors.

All are served there fresh with naturally prepared masalas...they have unique menu item describing the core of the dishes and how they are made. The non veg items and specially the kebabs are awesome. They have some of their chauka special dishes too which one must try. The price is slightly a little bit higher side. The waiters there are very good and humble at their service. The location is also good and easy to reach by any public vehicle. There is a problem of parking lot if you come by your own vehicle... Altogether I loved...

Rude Staff "The front desk staff acted like we were inconveniencing them by asking basic questions. No smiles, no courtesy, just pure rudeness. Hospitality should be the bare minimum in a hotel — not here." . Misleading Pictures "The photos online looked beautiful, but in reality, the place was run-down and nothing like what was advertised. The pool was closed, the gym equipment was broken, and the view from our room was of a construction site."
Noisy & Uncomfortable "We could hear every conversation from the next room, plus traffic noise all night. The bed was as hard as a rock and the pillows were lumpy. We barely slept the...
