Ghore Baire is an extraordinary place that beautifully combines history, culture, and delicious Bengali cuisine. From the moment you step in, you’re captivated by the outstanding atmosphere, artistic interior designs, and the outdoor beauty that’s simply breathtaking. The restaurant perfectly showcases the essence of Bengali heritage, with its decor featuring Rabindranath Tagore's photos and cultural art pieces, creating an unforgettable dining experience. The food is exceptional, with a wide range of Bengali cultural dishes offered at very reasonable prices. Their veg thali is a standout, bursting with flavor, and their mutton dishes with rice and paratha are cooked to perfection. The flavorful chutney adds an extra touch to the meal, making it even more delightful. Whether you’re choosing à la carte or the thali options, every dish reflects careful preparation and authenticity. What truly sets Ghore Baire apart is the remarkable service. The waitstaff is attentive, cheerful, and humble, making you feel warmly welcomed and well taken care of throughout your visit. It’s an ideal spot to visit with friends and family, and I highly recommend adding it to your list if you're traveling to Shantiniketan. While the washroom facilities could use a bit more attention to cleanliness, this is a minor concern compared to the overall experience. With its delicious food, reasonable pricing, and stunning ambiance, Ghore Baire is a must-visit for anyone wanting to savor authentic Bengali flavors. Highly recommended!

Ghore Baire offers a delightful dining experience that beautifully encapsulates the essence of authentic Bengali cuisine. The restaurant boasts a decent ambiance and an extensive menu, both of which contribute to a satisfying visit. I had the pleasure of savoring their well-prepared mutton dish, accompanied by delicious rice and paratha. What truly stood out, though, was their flavorful chutney, adding a unique twist to the meal. Whether you prefer à la carte or thali, Ghore Baire caters to both preferences exceptionally well. The restaurant's decor is thoughtfully designed, creating an artistic atmosphere. The presence of Rabindranath Tagore photos and other art pieces inspired by him adds a cultural touch that enhances the overall dining experience. Moreover, I must commend the excellent service provided by the attentive staff, which made us feel truly valued as diners. However, I would like to mention that the washroom facilities could be improved to ensure cleanliness and hygiene. Taking all these factors into account, I would rate Ghore Baire four stars. Despite the minor concern about the washroom, the restaurant's great food, attentive service, and artistic ambiance make it a must-visit spot in Santiniketan for anyone looking to savor the flavors of authentic Bengali cuisine.

First Impression? The restaurant looked so beautiful. A curated mince of culture and art. There are two sections, one air conditioned and the other without one. ⚠️ You have to pay 10% extra to get that cold breeze! Anyways let's jump to the review. We went bonkers and ordered Thalis and since I got myself Paratha and Paneer (Since Naan and Even Phulka weren't available)! The Thalis included Aloo Posto, Plain Dal, a Mix Bhaji, and depending on your choice a Chicken, Fish or Mutton Curry, accompanied with Plain Steamed Rice. You also get a small portion on salad, a Roshogolla and chutney. Of all this, only Rice, Daal and Aloo Posto was refillable and that's weird. As for my Paneer Butter Masala and Parantha, the Paneer was supposedly the best thing served on the table that day. Little sweet and not as rich as north indian gravies. The Paratha though, was too greasy! I tried to avoid the Paratha but there wasn't any other bread available 🙂 Moreover, the food was too homely. I ain't saying Home Food isn't good, but I expect restaurant food bringing cherish on your face. Dad even said, that they have better Chicken at home😂. I guess the Veg Thali was more worthy than the non-veg one.

Absolutely disgusting..... The behaviour of the staffs is very bad. They will keep asking for bills and once you pay the bills, they won't let you to sit any minute long. The quality of food is below average, you will find better food in streets rather than this restaurant. They use adze chicken and mutton. I am recommending you not to eat non-veg items here. They do maintain proper hygiene. The tables are not properly cleaned, the dishes are not properly washed. I found a tiny piece of dish wash scrub in my food🤮. The quantity of food they give is very less. If you order full plate of rice item they will give you very less quantity (not even equal to half plate rice compared to other restaurants). The prices of the items are very high. They charge unjustified prices. You can find better item in 5 star restaurants in less price. Ironical AC charge 🙃, they charge additional 10 percent on your bill for AC. The more you spend on food items the more you pay for AC. If you don't want to sit in AC, they don't have any celling fan in the sitting area and you have to sit in the unbearable hot conditions. They only offer you a small table fan. My overall review is that Ghore Baire Restaurant is meant to open only to exploit the guest as much as they can. If you can find better option please go there and avoid this place. I think you are smart enough and will take the...
