The Tamarind — Restaurant in Bolpur

I have been ordering food for a very long time from this place, as I love south Indian food a lot. One of my acquaintances ordered a plate of idli from this place, as we trust this place a lot. After consuming the idli yesterday, I got food poisoning. People whom I know those who frequently ordered from this place, they also are saying the same thing about the way they are making idli... Even the way the idli used to taste has changed, please do not consume idli from this place if you are thinking of having idli, it might cost you a two day leave, as you will be getting...

I ordered Paper Masala Dosa from Khabarwala an food delivery app only in Bolpur Santiniketan. The dosa was really nice it was crispy from outside generally if you order dosa from outside the batter becomes soggy but when I ordered from here it was surprisingly crispy. It really tasted good.

The things which should be improved is the quantity of masala in dosas, if they add peanuts in the masala it enhances the taste and the chutney should have a good consistency it's a very thin gravy kinda chutney that they serve. That's all rest everything was fine the sambar...

Recently had masala dosa from here after may be 6/8 months and it was utter disappointment from every angle. The dosa was half cooked, masala inside had some unusual stinking (it was not fresh I believe), sambar tastes below average, coconut chutney had gallons of water in it. Lastly, they are charging Rs.100 for a masala dosa of this taste whereas an authentic dosa in most parts of Karnataka / Tamil Nadu costs around Rs.65 in average and carry a much better taste than this. It was probably my last visit to this restaurant and I would never recommend anyone...
