Midpoint Cafe — Restaurant in Chandigarh

I have been visiting the cafe for years and have known the owner on meet and greet basis. The place started off as a great value for money and a good taste destination. However, I feel the value has been depreciating at a rapid rate.

Today's experience:

Omelette - The taste was good and had good stuffing. However, we had to call for the chef to point that it was undercooked. He cooked it further.

Chicken seekh burger- If you like union of loads of mayo with cheap ketchup and to top it all of with some raw chicken seekh, then this dish is made for you (sarcasm)! I could not even ask the chef for improvement. Complete horrid dish!

Issue with over billing- The cafe is self service, at the time of ordering we pulled out a bottle of cold drink and to our surprise, they charged us for glasses along with sealed bottle of cold drink in our hands! The issue was discussed with the owner Mr. Bhushan over phone and he gave the plea that if we buy cold drink they have to charge for glasses for drinking it. Also, the extra charge is for covering the cost of washing the glasses!

As ludicrous it sounds, i did not find any rationale to discuss the issue with him further! Also, while going through other reviews I can relate to users when they have written about absrud policies of the cafe.

I will surely take a legal recourse on this issue. Its an issue about conducting business on principals of morality rather than trying to fleece pennies from unaware customers on account of forced...

Taste - 4/5 Portions - 5/5 Ambience - 3/5 Service - 5/5 Value for money - 5/5 (₹800/- for two approx)

This cute little cafe serving cafe, fast food & north indian is based in sector 21, Chandigarh.

The ambience is basic and comforting. The staff is quick with the service, the portions are decent & prices will make your pocket go gaga.

Other than the cafe menu that has all the "cafe specifics" , there is a separate north indian menu that has all the north indian meal options to choose from.

Coming to the food taste :

Chicken nuggets - 5/5 So crispy on the outside and succulent chicken fillings on the inside served with the spicy dip made this a perfect "go to" snack.

Onions mushroom corn tacos - 4/5 The taco shell was extremely crisp and delicious, the flavours of the fillings were simple yet delectable, served with a sweetish dip, this tasted delicious.

Spicy latte - 5/5 Loved everything about this coffee, starting from how it looked to the taste. Served in a tall mug with separated layers of coffee and beautiful froth, the flavours of the latte were perfectly balanced & blended.

Strawberry oreo shake - 4/5 Delicious, thick & creamy oreo shake with that hint of strawberry to satisfy all your sugar cravings.

I've never been into the actual place. I just always order online. (during my almost 2 months stay in Chandigarh)

So I will only rate the food and its takeaway service.

The packaging is always superb, whether you order beverages or sandwiches. The packaging is good quality. They make sure your drinks won't spill.

For the food,

The wraps will never fail you, any of their wraps taste good and will make you feel full. (also budget friendly)

White sauce pasta is bland. Red sauce pasta is too salty for me. But I might try it again.

The sandwiches also taste good as the wraps.

The tacos not that much,

The garlic bread, uhmm bland too, I didn't taste any of the garlic flavor or saltiness

The thin crust special pizza, it is perfect for me, because there is no overpowering taste.

The iced coffee, I wish they have more options to it, to add another shot of espresso and cup size.

The hot cafe latte, they only have small, but at least it is a real coffe unlike...
