I have been a regular barbeque goer , not just in Delhi NCR , but also in Mumbai. I have seen all varieties of food being served at barbeque restaurants. But today, what I saw at BBQ Nation @ Gaur City Mall, was an utter shock to me and my family. It's not everyday that you go out with your family to eat quality food. After about 2 years of lockdown and isolation, we ventured out to eat like a family, at the BBQ Nation @gaur City Mall.
Let's first get to the Maincourse. O
Dal Tadka Mix veg Paneer makhanwala Chilly veg + noodles Veg biryani Steamed Rice Soup Kadi Pakoda
Other than what was joke in the name of salad, that much was the Maincourse for veg eaters.
As if the sheer lack of variety was not enough, the taste was worse than the worst I have ever eaten at any restaurant or even at cheapest of the wedding functions. The Biryani was more like tehri. Ther server initially said we don't serve kulcha, but when I complained to the manager about this, he brought us hot stuffed kulchas. So much miscommunication and such poor planning of menu.
Now let's come to dessert. Other than the brownies, each and every thing, from the thin "phirni" to the kulfi, was a total devastation. And how can I forget the moong dal halwa that was drier than my hands in winter, so much lack of ghee that we wondered if this was really moong dal halwa.
One thing positive that made us stay and bear the torture that their food was, was the polite manager Mr. Veer Singh, who even got us prepared more richer versions of the two veg dishes and the chef also came to apologise, but at the same time justify that this is how food is at BBQ Nation here and we can get good food on demand.
Apart from the manager Mr. Veer , who is trying to save this sinking ship, everything else was an utter disaster.
Mr. Veer apologised very profoundly but the thing is , this place is an insult to , atleast the veg eaters. Third quality vegetarian food, lacking in both variety and taste , not worth the 1k+ on a Sunday night. Absolutely spoiled the weekend for us.
But thank God , only our family came today. What if we had brought our friends or clients, or even our extended family. Would have been a tight slap on our faces. Will never reccomend to anyone.

Fish Market like Feel. Super Dirty. Waiters look like clowns, unprofessional and untrained.
I'm still trying to process the unmitigated disaster that was our dinner experience at Barbaque Nation Gaur City tonight. The sheer incompetence and lack of basic hospitality skills displayed by the staff was staggering.
Food:
The starters were lukewarm and tasted like they'd been sitting out for hours. The "signature" BBQ dishes were an insult to the very concept of barbecue. The main course was a sad, congealed mess. The " biryani" was a flavorless, oily disaster. Don't even get me started on the " desserts", which tasted like they'd been bought from a local convenience store.
Service:
Our server seemed to be suffering from a severe case of apathy. Orders were forgotten, requests were ignored, and don't even get me started on the " refills" on drinks, which took an eternity to arrive. When we politely brought some of the issues to the manager's attention, we were met with a dismissive shrug and a half-hearted apology.
Ambience:
The decor was tired and dated, with faded signs and worn-out furniture. The music was a jarring, mismatched playlist that seemed to be designed to grate on the nerves. The AC was either freezing or sweltering, depending on where you sat. We asked multiple times for it to be adjusted, but to no avail.
Value:
The prices were outrageous, especially considering the subpar quality of the food and service. We left feeling like we'd been robbed.
Verdict:
Unless you enjoy being treated like a nuisance and served subpar food, AVOID Barbaque Nation Gaur City at all costs. There are far better options in the area that actually care about their customers and serve edible food. Shame on you, Barbaque Nation....

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Barbeque Nation outlet on 1st February 2025. Right from the start, the service was terrible. Despite booking in advance and informing them that it was for a special occasion, they failed to provide proper seating arrangements, splitting our group across different tables.
Service was painfully slow – we waited 40-45 minutes just to be attended to, and even basic requests like water took 30 minutes to be served. The staff was unresponsive and uncooperative, making the entire experience frustrating.
As for the food, it was far from what Barbeque Nation is known for. Most menu items were unavailable, and the food that was served was cold and tasteless. The main course was not hot, dal was cold like kheer, and gulab jamun was served cold instead of warm. The special sweets (like balushahi) that were promised during booking were missing.
Adding to the disappointment, the washrooms were in an unhygienic state, resembling a poorly maintained public toilet. Despite multiple requests for cleaning, there was no response.
To top it off, there was no live singing, even though it was advertised on their app and confirmed by their representative during booking.
Overall, this visit was a complete waste of money. The restaurant failed in both food quality and hospitality, making it an utterly pathetic experience. I will definitely be sharing my experience on other platforms to warn others. I strongly urge management to take responsibility and issue a...
