Burma Burma is a great place to have some authentic Burmese food, and it’s conveniently located on the 3rd floor in DLF Mall of India, Sector-18, Noida. I live in San Francisco, America and it has its good share of great Burmese restaurants such as Burma Superstar and Burma Love. It was refreshing to see an authentic Burmese place close to home in Noida. Burma Burma serves only vegetarian food, and an extensive vegetarian menu at that. We were a party of 3 and visited on a Wednesday afternoon.
Food: We ordered the following:
Tea Leaf Salad: It’s the most popular dish at any Burmese restaurant, and Burma Burma didn’t disappoint. In the absence of dried shrimp powder, they use fermented tea leaf dressing on the salad. The dressing adds to the piquant flavours, and we loved the salad that was perfectly tossed. The peanuts and sesame seeds provided the perfect crunch. It’s a must-try.
Tohu Mok Palata/Tohu Mash with Paratha: Tohu/Burmese tofu is made from ground up chickpeas and then the mash of it is cooked with onions, tomatoes, turmeric and spices to yield this dish. I loved that the turmeric wasn’t overwhelming in this dish. It has the right amount of kick to it. It’s served with parathas, which are just the right amount of flaky. They also serve extra parathas if you want.
Pyajoo Kari Chaat: We didn’t find this dish too appealing. The warm yogurt curry tasted something very similar to traditional raita, and its combination with masala chana, potato and spices didn’t appeal to us a lot.
Drinks: 1. Burmese blossom: The mix of watermelon, cranberry, cherry and rose was quite refreshing. I highly recommend it.
Spiced Ginger drink: It had a kick to it, just how I’d expected it to have, with the right amount of ginger, green chillies, lime and salt rim. This is also highly recommended.
They also have an extensive tea menu, that’s a staple of Burmese cuisine. It’s something that tea enthusiasts should try.
Three dishes and 2 drinks above were sufficient for 3 people with normal appetites. Burma Burma is located close to Pirates of the Grill. They add around 10 percent service charge to the bill. The total bill for all these food items and drinks was around 2500 rupees, I’d say it’s decently expensive.
I wish they also served non-vegetarian food, which is also a part of traditional Burmese cuisine.
Overall, it’s a pretty good place to have lunch or dinner at, and I look forward to visiting their other locations in Saket and...

Read moreBurma Burma is hands down one of my favorite vegetarian restaurants! I’ve visited a few times now, and every time, they absolutely nail it with their dishes. If you’re into vegetarian food or just love exploring new flavors, this place is a must-visit.
Let’s start with the highlights of my recent visit. First up was the Tea Leaf Salad—wow! It was an explosion of flavors and textures, with a perfect balance of tangy, crunchy, and refreshing. It’s the kind of dish that surprises you with every bite, making you appreciate the unique Burmese flavors that Burma Burma brings to the table.
Next, I tried the Lotus Stem Crispies, and they were nothing short of addictive. Light, crispy, and coated in a delicious sauce, they were the perfect appetizer to get things started. If you love a good crunch, you’ll absolutely enjoy these.
Then came the Creamed Corn with Paratha. The creamy, flavorful corn paired so well with the soft, flaky paratha—comfort food at its best! It’s one of those dishes that feels both indulgent and satisfying, without being too heavy. The flavors were subtle yet delicious, and I found myself savoring every bite.
To wash it all down, I opted for the Pomegranate Cooler. It was refreshing, not too sweet, and just what I needed to complement the rich flavors of the food. A perfect drink to keep things light and refreshing throughout the meal.
What I love most about Burma Burma is that they make vegetarian food exciting and absolutely delicious. Even as someone who’s not strictly vegetarian, I find myself craving their dishes and planning my next visit before I’ve even left. The quality and creativity of their dishes keep me coming back again and again.
The ambiance at the DLF Mall of India location is lovely too—cozy and inviting, with just the right amount of buzz to make it feel lively. The staff is always attentive and friendly, which just adds to the overall experience.
Honestly, Burma Burma is the kind of place where you can’t help but fall in love with vegetarian cuisine. Everything from the presentation to the flavors is top-notch. The only reason it’s not a full 5/5 is because I’m holding out for them to surprise me with something even more amazing next time (not that they haven’t already!).
In short, if you’re at DLF Mall of India, make sure to stop by Burma Burma. Whether you’re vegetarian or not, you’re in for a treat....
