⚠️ Important for Parents Visiting Clay Café, Sector 104 (Noida)

Dear fellow parents and customers,

I would like to bring to the management’s and public’s attention a matter of concern regarding Clay Café, Sector 104.

The café appears to have a policy of selling uncollected ceramic items (painted by customers, including children) at discounts of up to 80% if they remain unclaimed beyond 90 days. While the need for space management is understandable, this policy is not transparently communicated.

There is no visible signage or notice within the premises, no mention in their pick-up messages, and staff do not inform customers at the time of drop-off. The only reference to this rule is printed in very fine print at the bottom of the physical bill, which most customers are unlikely to notice, especially during a creative session with children.

When I visited recently to collect my child’s glazed items, I was surprised to see similar unclaimed ceramics being sold for as little as ₹99—items that likely cost parents close to ₹1000 originally. Upon politely questioning the owner about this lack of disclosure, the response was unfortunately rude and dismissive, quoting, “Humne likha hai, par logo ko padhna nahi hai.humne rules ke board par bhi likha hai.par jisko nahi padhna wo kahi nahi padhega."

Such an attitude reflects poorly on customer service and transparency. Policies impacting customer property should be clearly communicated, prominently displayed, and handled with basic courtesy.

Thankfully, we collected our items within the stipulated period. However, I am sharing this feedback so that other parents are aware and can take timely action to avoid disappointment.

Note: I am also attaching a picture of the café’s displayed rules taken today—as of this date, there is no signage mentioning this 90-day policy anywhere in the premises.

Suggestion: The management should display this policy clearly within the café, mention it during billing, and include it in pick-up messages to ensure fair and transparent communication with all customers.

I organised my son’s birthday party at Clayful Café, Starling Mall. The concept of the café is nice, but the management—especially the owners—made the overall experience extremely disappointing.

It’s understandable that children aged 4–5 can be a little energetic during a birthday celebration, but the owners showed no patience or warmth toward the kids or guests.

Some key issues we faced: Untrained staff – The team was not prepared to handle children, and when pointed out, we were told it was “not their responsibility.”

Poor service – Food was delayed and not served properly.

Limited inclusions – Despite taking an expensive package, only one drink was provided per guest.

Unprofessional behaviour – The owner, Ms. Meeta, was rude, dismissive, and forgot several commitments made at the time of booking.

Cash preference – They insisted on cash payments, which raised concerns about transparency.

Disrespectful incident – A family member was spoken to very rudely over something as small as a child asking for two straws. The situation was handled with no empathy or courtesy.

Overall, it was an unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend Clayful Café for hosting children’s parties. The place may look appealing, but the attitude and service from management completely...

The concept is good of painting with food. Nice activity based cafe for kids. But the hospitality is not very good. When we went there, some birthday party was going on but fortunately we were provided the table by the owner. Now when you start painting it takes minimum 1 hour to complete a painting for the kids, Plus eating time. Infact on the table also they have written 60-90 mins of table time. However the owner came to us in 50 mins asking if you are done since they have a reservation for this table already. First of all if the table was booked then should not have given us that table to sit and once you have given us the table then you can not just ask us to leave saying that this table was reserved for this time. You just cannot ask the guest to finish quickly. They did not allow us to open out laptop as well saying the same is not allowed, as this place is meant for family time. Put a board outside that no laptops are allowed. So then let us spend the time peacefully and nicely. Moreover, you can not just ask somebody to forcefully do this only or sit ideal. Secondly they are charging so much for the objects and just giving 3 colours and plus liners and all also they will give only one and then you are charging extra for...

This is clearly someone's passion project which is admirable, but the execution does not translate too well. Let's break that down. There are two sides to this place: the painting studio and the restaurant. We were welcomed by a gentleman who was terse - a true gatekeeper - asking if you're here for the painting or just the food. He walked us to a table and then asked us to follow us to the wall to wall display of baked clay figurines and vessels. The prices of these clay goods were absurdly high. 800-1200 for mugs. You pay for that and get paints alongwith them to do your "art", and take it home. Or pay extra and get it glazed. A lot of emphasis on "do not touch" and "no photography" for some reason. Repeated to children and adults alike. Then comes the food. It was quite enjoyable. Pizza and burger, both pretty decent, but priced high. Saving grace. One goes to a cafe to feel welcome. We left with a sense less than wholesome because this was a cafe inside a studio. A lot of focus on "art is meditation, brings you joy", quite explicitly printed on a primary wall. Many must enjoy the experience as there were plenty of people enjoying painting their clay goods, but it is a place simply not for us.

You can do advance table booking or got table as per availability during visit. Valet parking available. Otherwise search parking 1st to park your vehicle then walk to reach cafe. Select your choice of product as per availability you want to paint. 3 colours of your choice you choose to paint, if you choose more than 3 you need to pay extra for each colour you choose other than 3 colours you already choose. Limited menu options. Service is slow. After completion of paint, if you want to glaze your painted product. You need to pay extra charges + taxes. Service charges also need to pay. Which Supreme Court also said not to charge from customer.
