Haldiram's - Noida Sector-18 — Restaurant in Dadri

So this Haldiram Sector 18 Noida outlet is quite an experience. The store ambiance is appealing and attractive; the air conditioning is just right and uber comfortable.

The first surprise is that there are no printed menus on the table - you can either order at the counter using the menu at the overhead display OR...scan the QR code which is attached to every table corner and even displayed at the centre of the restaurant!!!

The QR code based ordering and payment system is almost flawless till you complete your order by making the payment.

The payment confirmation is received on WhatsApp if you choose during checkout and the invoice is provided only after you reply 'Hi' - which should have been provided by default as none of your food gets delivered unless you show the invoice!

The struggle starts from this point on.

You're notified of the counter where your food will be available when ready BUT you're NOT notified when it becomes available. The person at the counter howls the order number which is quite inaudible and ultra useless - they could have either used a display which shows the current order number being served or WhatsApp based notifications. You need to wait a while and keep visiting the delivery counters (there would be quite a few of them for a standard order!). The items in your order get ready at different times as there are no waiters ay all, you need to visit the delivery counters every now and then, disrupting your food experience!

The food quality is very good so no complaints in that department - Haldiram speaks for itself!

The variety on the menu is okay with limited options outside if the chaat menu.

This is the brand new restaurant of the old age famous brand Haldirams. Well this is not only at a very pivotal position but is giving a tough competition to Bikanervala across the lane.

Ambience:

This is a huge place with proper and ample sitting on the first floor and with limited counter seating in the ground floor. Ambience is open and welcoming. It's quite spacious and the indecor is fantastic and creative whereby making it appear less congested even when completely packed on weekends.

Staff:

Staff is good and prompt in service. This is a self service restaurant and so I don't see much role of the staff as such.

Food:

This place offers wide variety of cuisines ranging from Chinese, North Indian, South Indian, Chaat, Continental etc and much more. The taste of the food is okay not very remarkable, which can be improved. Pricing is nominal if you have the know about of places alike Bikanervala, Nathu's or Hira from the vicinity.

Final Verdict:

This place is recommended for causal outings with friends and family. It's not a romantic place so wouldn't recommend for romantic dates as such. Plus there is only one washroom for male and female respectively and it becomes quite messy, stinky and dirty when there is a a huge rush. The staff should be more proactive with the cleanliness of...
