On November 30th, 2024, we visited Rubaru Noida Extension to celebrate my niece's first birthday. Having had a positive experience at Rubaru Galleria previously, we expected a similar experience at this location. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed and came to realize that we had been completely misled. The entire experience was so frustrating and unprofessional that it took me five days to gather my thoughts and write this review. What should have been a memorable and joyful occasion turned into a deeply frustrating one.
The issues began as soon as we entered the premises, with the starters being prepared. The floor manager approached us and informed us that, since it was a small gathering of only 20-25 people, we would need to help ourselves to the starters as they would not be served at the table. He explained that it would be difficult to serve everyone in such a small group. This implied that if the restaurant were completely full, guests would have to serve themselves. To avoid disrupting the atmosphere, we reluctantly agreed, but requested that the starters be served to the elderly and female guests. However, despite our request, it ultimately fell to me to serve them myself.
The starters were served cold, lacking both salt and spices. Even the Chinese starters were served with nothing more than mint chutney. As for the cold drinks, they were so excessively diluted with ice that it was hard to tell the difference between the drink and water.
3.This was not only disappointing but also quite frustrating. The floor manager repeatedly approached us, urging us to start our meal quickly, warning that the kitchen would close soon and we would be left with cold food. Taking this into consideration, I instructed my guests to head to the dinner area. However, after being occupied elsewhere, I returned 45 minutes later to find my guests standing with empty plates. There was no food on the stalls. Some guests had only chapatis, others had gravy, and some were left with just dry noodles. None of my guests knew what items were on the menu, as it was never provided. After waiting so long, many of them left without having eaten.
After all of this, we were forced into an argument with the staff, and their only response was that they prepare fresh items, which takes time. This meant that if a butter naan ran out, we would have to wait another 10-15 minutes for more. If we wanted to order any gravy dish, it would take an additional 30-45 minutes. Despite the fact that the floor staff had taken our dinner orders 45 minutes prior, we were left waiting. Unfortunately, we felt powerless to do anything since we had already paid in full.
5.In the end, they admitted their mistakes and asked us to go ahead and eat, but what was the point when many of our guests left hungry? They reluctantly packed some food for us, but that didn’t change the fact that my niece’s first birthday was ruined, and we now have no good memories to share with her when she grows up.
It is my humble request to the Rubaru chain and everyone involved in managing this business to please respect our hard-earned money, time, and the importance of such small but precious occasions that create lasting memories. I felt helpless, scammed, and lost my faith in the brand. I am no longer able to face my guests with the same self-esteem as I did before. This wasn’t just a monetary loss—it’s my pride that has...
Read moreThe place was just okay, strictly average considering the price that you pay, I was denied happy hours prices at 7:05, but mainly because, there was nobody around to take the order for the first 15 mins, generally bars have this policy to prompt all tables about ordering stuff before happy hours ends, but that wasn't the case here, I am not a heavy drinker and was out with my family, but this tactic of the theirs costed me 1000 bucks extra. They didn't have draught beer (although listed), no complimentary item served as we were served out drinks a good 20 mins before the food, the food was expensive, every item was marked up at double the normal price , although it is expected but then the food quality was really shoddy, the passionfruit smoothie , although said to be made from coconut milk, consisted of curd, the cheese balls were re fried and were dripping with oil, the falafels were really hard and chewy, The pizza and the hummus were the only items saving grace in the English platter. The live music was really good, but the speakers were too loud for the space and ruined some of the fun. In general the service was okay, the waiters were polite but it always took us 5 mins to search and call them whenever required. I would suggest to try this out during happy hours only and it might justify the price you pay. Overall good to see places like these opening up in the area, a little bit of smoothening around the edges...

I visited this restaurant expecting a fair dining experience, but I was deeply disappointed by their deceptive billing practices. While all government taxes and service-related charges are already high, they’ve cleverly added a 10% “Staff Contribution Charge” — a renamed version of the Service Charge — to mislead customers.
What’s worse is that this charge is not communicated in advance. It’s only when the bill arrives that you’re pressured into paying this amount under the false label of “contribution.” This is not a voluntary tip — it’s an enforced charge, without consent.
Customers already pay enough through inflated prices, and if a tip is expected, it should be based on service quality and the customer’s will — not forcefully added without transparency.
The staff even argued when asked about the charge, instead of understanding or explaining politely. This is the first restaurant I’ve seen that argues with customers instead of valuing their experience.
I do not recommend this place to anyone who values honesty and ethical customer service. There are many better places that respect your rights as a diner.
Think twice before stepping in — or you may end up paying more than...
