1 Oak — Restaurant in Delhi

|1 Oak| I had heard about the place from a lot many people, and had put it on the top of my list of places-to-visit. Once you reach the place, it might look like a usual casual dining place from outside, but I'm sure, that wouldn't be your impression if you visit it in the evening or at night. It has a nice small garden right besides the entrance (not sure if it is a part of the place) and there are lights and decorations hanging on the the trees there which makes the place look very aesthetic. I am being able to contrast the two kinds of first impressions that one might have as i arrived there in daylight but left when it was dark.

The place looks very cosy and warm from inside and still has a lot of space to hold a big enough gathering. So we chose to sit on the rooftop area as the weather was quite nice.

The place has recently started serving hookah as well, so another attraction for all the hookah lovers. As it turned dark, the place started becoming more lit. They put these really warm aesthetic lamps on each of the tables which was really lightjng up the mood.

Coming to the food, One Oak is one of the warmest places with the most hospitable management. They hosted us very warmly and gave wonderful reccomendations. So we started with quesadillas, nachos, peri-peri fries and a paneer appetizer, with drinks of our choice. Trust me, the fries usually taste the same everywhere, but those were one of the best fries that I've had so far. For main course we ordered a pizza, spaghetti and mushrooms in white sauce with herb rice (I don't remember the name of the dish). I really liked the mushroom preparation, it went really well with the herb rice. One of friends didn't like it too well, so you can decide for yourself.

We were so full after having all the food and the drinks, that were was no room for desserts. So that was the sad part of the evening.

A special mention to Mr Abhay and Mr Kundan who made sure that we had an overwhelming experience and that every minute detail is take care of !
