One of the Worst Dining Experiences â Disappointed on Motherâs Day
We visited the restaurant as a family to celebrate Motherâs Dayâa special and rare outing since both sets of parents were finally well enough to join after six months. Unfortunately, the experience was a huge letdown from start to finish.
Despite the restaurant not being crowded, service was painfully slow. Soups took far too long to arrive and, when they did, were completely bland and lacked basic seasoning. To make matters worse, there was no salt or pepper on the tableâwe had to request it separately.
The starters (both veg and non-veg platters) were extremely overpriced and poorly prepared. The non-veg platter included items that werenât even listed on the menu. Everything was either overly oily, too spicy, dry, or simply overcooked. It genuinely felt like something youâd get at a below-average roadside stall. Most of it was left uneaten.
For the main course, we requested the spice levels to be toned downâespecially for the paneer butter masalaâbut our request was ignored despite the staff assuring us it would be taken care of. The dish turned out overly spicy and unpalatable. The lachcha paranthas served with it were dry and hard.
Throughout the meal, the management showed no interest in feedback and had a very casual, dismissive approach. No one made any effort to apologize or improve the situation.
This was supposed to be a memorable family celebration. Instead, we left deeply disappointed and upset. Based on our experience, we wouldnât recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food, fair value, or even basic...
Read moreWe recently organised an engagement party at Amber Restaurant, and sadly, the experience was far below expectations â especially considering how much was spent on the event. The food was extremely disappointing. Several dishes were served cold, and overall the flavours were bland and uninspired. The presentation lacked care, and it was clear that the quality and attention to detail were missing. For such an important celebration, this was very upsetting for both the hosts and the guests. To make matters worse, the decoration was highly overpriced for what we received. Despite being charged premium rates, the setup looked rushed and underwhelming â nowhere near what was promised or what the price suggested. The overall atmosphere felt generic and did not match the elegance expected for an engagement party. Service was also slow and inattentive, and when concerns were raised, the staff didnât seem interested in addressing them. Considering the high costs involved, the poor food quality, and the disappointing decoration, the experience was not worth the money spent. I truly hope Amber Restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves both their food standards and event services, as occasions like engagement parties deserve far better...
