Café Coffee Day — Restaurant in Delhi

This branch of Cafe Coffee Day is located inside Akshardham metro station and it’s a good spot after visiting the eponymous temple, which I did. The interior is much like any other branch of this cafe chain with a mixture of sofas and, wooden chairs and tables. Interestingly, some of the tables even have USB and wireless charging points.

It was pretty quiet when I came into the cafe, so there was no problem getting a seat and having my order taken. I ordered a new item off the coffee menu called Blue Cappuccino and the I think the Royal Delight(?) Chocolate cake. Normally I would order a latte as that’s my usual coffee, but the staff recommended the blue cappuccino, so I went with that. I have to say, this is the first time I did not enjoy my food and drink at a CCD. The cappuccino was not that nice. The chocolate cake felt stale and whatever the cream like topping was on the cake had the texture of a cream...

As a part of travel dairy of new food and coffee places in New Delhi and greater Noida in August and September of 2024.

Once while travelling through the metro I saw CCD available in the akshardham metro station so I have visited.

I ordered Americano with normal style as they suggested on the counter. The taste was good and suggested a nice blend.

The atmosphere was ok but the AC is not working properly and when i visited I was unable to use the charging socket where only 2 sockets are available.

The store timings were 09:00 am in the morning to 23:00 pm at night.

They accept all modes of payments.

I visited recently and felt cheated. I ordered coffee by looking at the menu kept on the order table. After ordering, the price seemed higher than what was listed on the menu. I asked for the bill, and they told me it would come along with the food, but it didn’t. I asked again, and finally, they provided the bill. When I checked, the coffee price was charged higher.

When I confronted them, they informed me that the coffee I ordered was not available and showed me another menu. I pointed out that if that was the case, they should have removed the old menu.

This feels like unfair practice and left me with a bad impression. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures transparency with their customers.
