Mixed Experience!

I recently had their Dinner Buffet and the overall impression was a sort of Mixed Baggage. Although the taste of food served there was top notch but the service was awfully slow.

Their Dinner Buffet have an appreciable amount of variety and it starts right from the Salads. There were more than 6 types of salads followed by several starters including the Baked Vegetables and Ajwaeini Paneer, both of which were the best of the lot. Starters also included Live Pasta Counter, Pizza, Singapore Rice etc. There were 3 types of Soups and the Tomato Soup tasted quite well. Then the Main Course consisted of Malai Kofta, Dal-32, Kadhai Paneer and almost 4 more varieties of curries. Then came Deserts which again boasted of more than 10 varieties including Kheer, several types of Pastries, Cakes, Brownie etc.

All in all, taste of most of the dishes was top-notch and special mention have to be made for the Dal-32, Malai Kofta, Baked Vegetables, Tomato Soup and Kheer.

Breads were served on table and they included Naans, Lachcha Paranthas and Tandoori Rotis.

The downpoint though, was the service. It took almost 5 calls to different waiters to get just 1 glass of water. And even breads were served after several reminders and requests.

Other thing which if I have to nitpick would be the placement of Menu. It seemed that the buffet menu had been arranged wherever they found space as the Main Course was place in between of the Starters. Some Veg dishes were placed between the NonVeg dishes.

It needs urgent improvement on both of the aspects, else the taste of food here is unmatchable.

Ambiance, as expected is again very good. The Gallery that leads to the Restaurant is itself very beautiful. Although I feel the location of Restaurant within the Hotel could have been better as there were no proper signages and the restaurant was located almost in one corner of the Hotel.

Still, despite some negatives (which I surely want them to improve!) it still is a worthful experience and is a must try!

14thfeb was my first visit to this restaurant, but my excitement for good food did not last long as i had a pathetic experience. Many things i faced which was really disappointed you must need to address-

1. I have booked buffet at knosh cafe so that i can easily get the table but i need to wait for 15 minutes as the counter person was illetrate so can't even find my name or my booking id..( each and everything was provided then also i wait for 15 minutes) I finally got the table 53.
2. welcome drinks- i beleive in 3 star hotels or restaurant they do serve welcome drink but you guyz don't even know what the welcome drink is.. Then i ordered virgin mojito to cool my mood but i did not get any drinks.
3. now comes to the food section, The taste was pathetic, inappropriate order and too stinky. Veg and non veg itmes are placed next to each other. Is this the way to place the food?? 70% of food was non- veg. There should be a sequence of placing a foood.. Veg item should be place at one corner and non veg item at another corner. 4)i was dissapointed by looking at the variety in food itself. what they have in veg had no taste..they need to know how to bring flavours in food even being less on spices.i felt pasta is something soo basic but that too was so pathetic,not a lot offered on buffet for price the section is too limited. food was not fresh and feel like chewing a cardboard. And when i asked to change the food then again it took 20 minutes to come back, and same experience with the food.. 5)It was my first date in which we don't even eat properly and enjoyed a single minute together because of your service, food quality and also by the rude behaviour of your staff.
4. last but not least your staff, they act like they are too smart but seriously they don't even know how to respect the guest, Seems like they are illiterate and uneducated.. Thank you all to make my date such...

We booked directly with the The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, 6 nights on B&B. We were offered complimentary airport transfers on both ways.

The experience from the Airport began with the best greetings from the Chauffeur, Didar Ji. we were welcomed as a VIP.

Reaching the The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, we were pampered.

The staffs from the reception desk, Messrs Bishal and Ashutosh were so friendly and welcoming.

The staffs from house keeping, Mr Sanjay, Pupeendar and his team always helpful and kind.

The room always tidy, water bottles, newspapers with tea and coffee as daily complimentary.

We mostly dined at the Cafe Knosh, again wonderful staffs. Once we reached late for breakfast by 1000hrs and we were well served and pampered.

To note that my spouse got ill, and all the staffs really cared, we were provided with every kind of assistance, with services of a doctor.

The guys of the Concierge were nice.

There were always a smile with the Namaste greetings from all staffs.

We were provided with breakfast packs at 0400hrs in the morning as our flight was early.

To summarize, i would say it was a WOW Experience at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel

We felt as if at home surrounded with people who cared for us.

Every staffs of the Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, know how to put the guests first in its hospitality.

Can't wait to spend another stay at the The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel.
