Chaayos Cafe at Netaji Subhash Place — Restaurant in Delhi

I'd been wanting to come and check out chaayos for the longest time,but because we're not too big on tea... We'd skip it... Today we came for the chicken keema papri Chaat. We ordered butter chicken kulhad kulcha, Chicken keema papri Chaat and one Kulhad chai. The kulhad chai was nice... Only they'd poured it before my order was ready. So it wasn't that hot and that yucky film had formed.... With two strands of saffron on top. The chai was ok... Not bad. I like that they're using kulhad. The butter chicken kulhad kulcha was in two small kulhads. The butter chicken was fine. Not too great but not bad eitherthe kulchas were lightly buttered. These were the yeast bread kinds... Not the soft ones you get in Delhi. But I guess that's because they need to standardize. For 270 RS...this was pricey. The keema Chaat... It looked I'll and pale. Not spicy and nice how Chaat should be. The keema tasted bland and the papri tasted like biscuits. Total waste of money. And calories. Stick to matar kulcha and samosa and Desi stuff. The non veg is not worth it here. The ambiance is happy and bright, and the store is bright and done up well with cutting chai glasses and kettlis. Also the servers need to show some interest. I just mentioned that I wasn't happy with the food... And he just Changed the topic... Anywhere else they would have bothered to find out why . So...

Chaayos is the perfect place to be in the summers. Out with friends or your girlfriend, find yourself a seat at any of the 36 outlets of Chaayos and sip iced tea and lemonade along with the delicious food served. So, I visited this branch of Chaayos on a Sunday evening and it was full with people. Maybe that's how popular it has become. I ordered Garden Fresh Sandwich, Vada Pao, Thepla Tacos Paneer and Kulhad Pav Bhaji for the meals and Modinagar Shikanji, Mint Lemonade and Lemon Ice Tea for drinks. My experience was just amazing. Truly amazing. I just loved the lemonade and the iced tea. They were so refreshing that you forget for a moment that it's so hot outside. My favourite among the three has to be the Modinagar Shikanji as it had the best masala for the Shikanji. A must order. I would strongly recommend you order Garden Fresh Sandwich and Kulhad Pav Bhaji. Sandwich had the best mixture of Mayonnaise and Vegetables and tasted delicious. Pav bhaji at Chaayos is one of the best I had. Bhaji is served in Kulhad. You'll love the interiors of the place. It has been beautifully done. Staff is extremely courteous and polite. I had won some chaayos vouchers and had long planned to try these chai cafes. Luckily we found one in Netaji Subhash Place

#Ambience : 3 Standard ambience. Nothing much has been tried as both the furniture, wall decorations and even the layout are very mediocre. It does not reflect any premium feel at all vis-a-vis starbucks or CCD which give their own unique looks and a cafe experience

#service : 3.5 Standard QSR service. Though the ordering via app is pretty interesting and will attract mobile savvy generation.

#beverages & food : 3 #aam papad chai : Its supposed to be a signature beverage but didnt feel like one. It was without milk and had a slight taste of aam padad though not in a positive way. Chaayos must carry out some customer trials and tweek its formula to make it palatable

2 minute sandwich : Sub-par maggi sanwich with no flavor. Avoidable when you are here

#Elachi thandi chai : Sad take on cold coffee genre. Again more work needs to be done to make it palatable

#price : 3.5 For the food and beverages, we didnt feel it was worth those high cafe type prices

All in all more work needs to be put in by chaayos product team to make better actual chais for the...
