Chawla's Take Away — Restaurant in Delhi

Chawla's should focus on non-veg food only and should discontinue making vegetarian food. Their vegetarian food is way below average. Have experienced it twice to thrice now. Always gave them another chance that this time their vegetarian food would be good but every time they failed badly to impress. But the only saving grace is that the food tastes fresh (every time) and quality is also good (every time) but taste of vegetarian food is actually below average ( although i remember 3-4 years earlier their vegetarian food used to be superb but not anymore, looks like the chef has been replaced as there's a drastic change in the taste now). And mostly every super famous non-vegetarian restaurants have the same story. They focus mainly on their non-veg food. Better to order vegetarian food from only vegetarian restaurants as their focus would be only on...

I recently ordered Chicken Tikka from Chawla’s Take Away and the experience was extremely disappointing. The chicken tikka was completely dry and lacked flavor, making it very unpleasant to eat. The green chutney was overpowered with excessive salt, and the onions served on the side had a bad smell, clearly indicating they were not fresh.

To make matters worse, even though there was no rush at the outlet, it still took around 25–30 minutes just to prepare the order, which shows poor service and management. For a place that claims to serve quality food, this was far from acceptable.

Based on this experience, I would never want to try their food again. The chicken was of very poor quality, the accompaniments were badly prepared, and the service was extremely slow. Overall, it was a complete waste of time and money. Definitely not...

If you are looking for finger biting food and in the vicinity of East Delhi, you can visit the Chawla's. It is just aside the Vikas Marg on left side of road connecting Preet Vihar to Karkardooma.

The parking near the location is not guaranteed but you can park on the side of the service lane. During pre-covid outbreak their waiters use to serve in the car. But during the covid phase you have to help yourself in ordering and collecting the food you order.

But talking about their menu, you cannot rate any item to be good or so so as whatever menu they offer is worth trying and you will get yourself indulge in taste.
