I placed an order on Zomato a few days ago for breakfast combo and rawa masala dosa. First of all, when I called them to give specific instructions for food, the person who picked up my call was quite rude. When I called him out for hanging up on me the first time without listening to my full instructions in my first call, he didn’t apologize and rather said that aapne jo bolna tha bol diya or maine sun liya. I told him that as customers if we purchase things from them, then we expect some politeness at least.
In my food instructions, I told him that I want the dosa filling in all 3 dosas to be a little more, he said ok. I told this specifically because on earlier occasions, I got the filings to be very very less. But this time also, when I got my delivery, the fillings were not even 1 tablespoon. It was so less. As if that was not enough, while eating, we noticed a dead fly in the red chutney. It was so traumatic for us. We immediately left the food and threw it all in the dustbin. We noticed a dead fly in one food item, but what if there were insects or other things in other items too? I don’t know if I should thank these people for their honesty that they showed the poor hygiene standards while preparing & handling food. Because otherwise how would we know about their poor hygiene standards if they would have served us food after removing the fly? The government should seriously consider cancelling licenses of such restaurants.
On earlier occasions, it was the high oil and spice levels that was the problem. For once, one can forgive and forget these things. But finding flies and insects in food is something that can neither be forgotten nor forgiven.
When I posted my review/feedback on Zomato, as usual I got the automated reply asking me to share my details on the given email id. They also said that they have shared my feedback with their team. But as I knew it already, they are not interested in working upon the feedback given by the people. Otherwise they would have been careful about preparing and handling food. However still I shared my details with them on the given email address but again as I knew it already, they didn’t care to contact me at all. They neither emailed me nor called me nor messaged me.
I wrote it in Zomato also that if they have any shame left in them, then they should refund my money. Otherwise if they don’t want to give back my money to me, then they can take it as Donation and use it to train their staff who talks to customers on phone and they should also use it to improve their hygiene standards. These pathetic people only gave reply to me once on Zomato when they copy pasted that automated reply but never ever after that did they try contacting me. I am pretty sure even non vegetarian people wouldn’t like to eat flies and insects in their food. And we are vegetarians who were delivered food with a fly in it. We were only left thinking about what all might be there in the food that we had already eaten.
Worst people. Their license should be cancelled immediately. They are not interested in improving upon the quality and service and neither are they interested in working on the feedback. They just write to share their experience on the email id but don’t do anything after that. I request people reading this to please highlight this issue and share their experiences where they faced similar problems regarding the poor hygiene standards. Who knows someone with contacts gets to know about it and the restaurant license gets canceled. They are such shameless people.
EDIT: This is heights of unprofessional behaviour. Dear Shree Ratnam, if you are so dedicated to address the issue, then I suggest you look at your emails, where I have shared my number already. Looks like you only see the number of stars and then copy paste the same response everywhere every time. I have put in complaints earlier too. Read moreService of this outlet is deteriorating day by day. I had faced issued in the past of the quality of noodles they’ve started to use. Same was communicated to the manager but everyone refused to accept that the quality of noodle is changed.Noodles they’ve started serve now are thick. Which doesn’t taste good.
Tonight i went with my mother we ordered: Tomato soup Manchow soup And masala dosa
Manchow soup was delivered.. later after 5-7 minutes of wait tomato soup was delivered.
Manchow soup was super spicy took only 2 sips of it.. i asked the lady server to get it changed.
It took good 10 minutes to change it.
Where my mother sadly was waiting for my soup to come.
Later when it came it was less in quantity. I didn’t mention it to anyone. I was really hungry.
Moreover soup was served without the base plate as shown in the picture.
My mother’s soup was served without the soup spoon.
I am a regular customer of this outlet. Specifically this one because i loved the food here. But this is going bad.

Rava Paneer Dosa- I ordered Rava Paneer Dosa but they served me Rava Masala Dosa. How careless they are. And this is the third time happened with me at this outlet. :( But after we complained they exchanged.
Paneer Makhani Dosa- It was good but as usual served cold.
Papad- Crispy. Loved it.
Filter Coffee- Awesome.
ButterMilk- Good.
Lemonade- Good
