Honey & Dough — Restaurant in Delhi

Revisited the place today morning around 10:30ish. There were 3-4 employees still loading some stuff into the outlet, so we enquired if they were open or not- they were. Due to loading stuff up it was extremely loud, employees literally shouting at each other. After sitting for about 5mins or more we requested the menu card, all the employees heard but looked uninterested and didn't respond. The tables were hardly kept properly, condiments and sauces weren't replenished, it looked like merely the tissues were refilled at each table. We have been regulars here and have had a good experience so far, so we sort of tried not to pay too much attention to all this. After a while when we got the menu, we ordered a couple of cappuccinos, a mex roll and veg puff. The puff looked a bit stale, when I enquired the lady replied we have just loaded it up. The mex roll came through, they didn't even bother to add some plates to the table. Next came the cappuccinos, which tasted horrible, and sour. When we again asked about it whether the milk is fresh or something wrong, the lady employee responded that senior prepared it. I asked the other employee and he acknowledged that the machines had bad milk and coffee in it and wasn't cleaned. Something that they were speaking amongst themselves but we could easily overhear it, and when asked about it directly they failed to give a reasonable answer.

Over the course of the last few months, we have noticed quite a dio the in staff behaviour. The evening staff used to be really good earlier but they don't bother even asking for a simple water or make a face if the customer requests reheating etc at times they give starter mains desert everything at once even after requesting them to be brought separately.

Please improve the staff.. as it's hampering the overall goodness the place...

I have always been fond of Honey & Dough desserts and I recently entered their Malviya Nagar outlet to try out of their amazing desserts but I was pleasantly surprised to witness what I saw. A full look at the menu made me realize that they have a full Continental menu. Infact, little did I know that they have a beautiful seating too.

So I immediately took a spot in the cute cafeteria which had a plush seating too. Though the cutest spot is the cage like swing.

All covid precautions were taken while entering the cafeteria. From mask (for guests as well as staff) to temperature check to sanitization.

We started with Cafe Frappe and Caramel Cold Coffee. Both of them were a true refresher though my preference goes to the former.

The colourful Farmers Choice Pizza delighted us not only with its visual appearance but also crispness and taste.

Next was Chilli Paneer Puff and Kadhai Paneer Roll. Being a paneer fan I was overwhelmed with joy when I got to know paneer is available in this form as well. Both were super amazing.

Arrabiata Pasta had a classy flavour and was presented with garlic bread. Garlic Bread Supreme was definitely the star with its presentation style and flavor.

Green Apple and Feta Cheese salad was nice but would not be in my most recommended dishes.

In drinks, I would also recommend Beetroot Masala Moji and Homestyle Masala Lemonade.

For desserts, we tried Decadent Chocolate which came with in a rose shape and tasted as amazing as it looked. Pineapple pastry was classic too.

So if Continental is your pick then Honey & Dough is definitely a recommendation. For upcoming festive season, I would also advice you to check out the wide range of gifting solutions available...

We picked up some flavour-filled red velvet and cheese cupcakes and chocholates complemented our evening tea and shakes.

The cream cheese topping is heavenly. If you want to go for something healthier, try the Baked Chees garlic bread with different toppings. The Cake is chocolate heaven. The sponge layers are alternated with chocolate cream; it is a best seller at Theobroma. On the savoury side of things are Vegetable Quiche. For 50 bucks, the patty is the perfect deal. Don't order two much as it can be really heavy on the tummy. The lemon tart is creamy and perfect once you scrape off the lemon. The special Devil's Delight, is dark, rich and chocolate-y, like little bites of sin. It is a beautiful lil cafe n bakery for work from home concepts market chill n work here. And maybe this quaint outlet still has a few kinks to iron out. Must try the breads, croissants and tea cakes...
