IPR Green Pepper — Restaurant in Delhi

I write this review as someone who has been visiting this place often. The staff is extremely overworked, the working hours as long as 13 hours and they underpay their staff too needless to say. As a result of such a toxic work environment, the resentment is very evident on the staff's faces, it almost feels like they don't want to take our orders and sometimes also lash out and talk angrily to the customers. At this point I should clarify that I am a Malayali student myself; there is a significant difference in how they treat normal customers and students. If we come with our friends, they will ask all of us to order the same dish, if a student and a normal customer order the same dish, the latter will be served first, they will insist for us to leave when we are done eating too, and the attitude of the staff is overall extremely bitter. They used to still have relatively better Malayali food in the vicinity, however everytime that we go there now, there are only one or two items which are available from the menu. They have also started stopping us from sitting in the more comfortable chairs, saying they are reserved even though this restaurant has no reservation system. A corollary to all this, students have entirely stopped visiting this place, while once it used to be flocked by students. We were really in hurry and on our way to catch our train so we thought we would order from this restaurant as they seem to be one of the more decent restaurants in Kalkaji. We went there and noticed most of the good and comfortable seats were reserved but it was common knowledge that this restaurant didn’t provide any reservation service,it was done so that people who they think won’t order much are seated on congested areas. We were in a hurry so we ordered something which we thought would take little time,but it took at-least 10 minutes for the waiter to attend our table. After when the waiter arrived I saw in his face distaste and annoyance,I think he didn’t want to take our order,after that he took our order and it was not a pleasing experience at all. After that it took 40 minutes for our order to come it was just some appam and curry. The appam felt slimy and egg curry felt like water on spice. Never would I ever visit this place again,it looks great to be honest the ambience was good but the staff and their service and on top of that everything was overpriced. So sad to share this review. I am a regular customer here. On dine in i ordered egg curry and kerala porotta. After having 2 poratta the curry finished and I wanted to have one more. Got the porotta but they denied to give a little gravy to have it. I requested to two staffs and the manager at the receptio ordered them not to provide a little gravy. Atleast didn't show the courtesy to talk about this. I felt so bad as its a Malayali restaurant servicing kerala special. Some sort of expectations are there.
