CSC Market is a haven for Bengali food enthusiasts. The irresistible array of culinary delights found here makes it my favourite place. From the zesty jhaal muri to the savory rolls oozing with egg, chicken, or mutton fillings, the market offers everything to cater to diverse tastes. Additionally, puchka, chaat, cutlets, shawarma, and momo vendors add to your gastronomic adventure. If you want to relish authentic Bengali Meals, especially fush curry, kosha mutton/luchi or Kolkata Biriyani, you may visit - 1. Maa Tara Restaurant 2. Priti Bhoj 3. Cafe Green The market doesn't stop at savory treats. If you have a sweet tooth, you must try baked rasgulla, Shor Bhaaja, and Kancha Golla at Sweet Treats confectionery. If you are missing Kolkataar shinghara (samosa), you may count on Annapurna Sweets. They sell yummy samosas in the evening. It also has a fish market for fish lovers like me 😀

Chittaranjan Park or in short C R Park has 4 markets that cater to the needs of Bengalis in Delhi. These photos are of market no 2. In 1981when I came to Delhi for work, this was a simple market where very few brick and concrete roofed shops were there selling groceries, sweet etc. Vegetable and fish/chicken shops were in one row along the main road in front of the park. There used to be an open wide drain running parallel to the market. All these changed about 15 years back. Now it has a big building with 3 floors and more shops. Many old shop owners now have permanent 0lace. It looks neat and clean. Of course ever increasing vendors have occupied most of the free spaces. But if you look at the crowd and volume of business, you will realise that it's a vibrant and thriving market. Best fishes and Calcutta products are available in all the shops.

The best place to have near authentic Bengali dishes in Delhi. The food is fresh and amazingly tasty. It does take a little time for them to prepare the food tho but if it's fresh it's worth it. (approx 20mins) We had mutton kosha and luchi. The luchis were well made, fluffy and soft. The mutton kosha was heavenly. Very tender and juicy. It was really spicy and flavorful but not throat burning hot which was great for us. Tomato and dates chutney was amazing. Really good flavour and perfect sweetness and sourness. The staff is very polite and accommodating. The eatery is small. There are 9 tables in total with 2-4 chairs each so it gets a little suffocating and congested when crowded. The food is well priced for the quantity and taste. Worth every Paisa spent.
