Kerala Hotel is a small eatery located in the Mohan Singh Market of INA serving Malayali cuisine for a long time now. If travelling via metro, exit from Gate Number 2 of INA Metro Station and you land up straight into the Mohan Singh Market. The dining area is a little small with space for no more than 20 people in total. Important thing to know at least at this point in time is that they have any other payment option than cash.
Coming to the food now, I went in for a lunch at Kerala Hotel with one of my friends where my order had Chicken Fry, Beef Roast, Crab Masala and Parotta. The food wasn't all fancy looking like in restaurants but the solid taste of Kerala was there in every dish. Chicken Fry was a spice coated chicken which was deep fried. Chicken although was cooked pretty well, it seemed a bit bland to me. Beef Roast was a mildly spicy home style gravy with succulent bite sized beef chunks. The gravy had a beautiful taste of coconut which I liked a lot. Crab Masala was a dish with a thicker gravy than the Beef Roast. The dish had one small whole crab tossed in a spicy gravy full of green chilies which I absolutely loved. All the dishes went really well with hot...

This place bears an uncanny resemblance to a joint in Munnar by the same name. It isn’t big on space and the seating isn’t the most comfortable, but once you take a bite of their delicious food everything just seems better. One does feel like they are chilling in some local Kerala joint as the restaurant has a lot of Keralite patrons, and occasional Carnatic music can be heard there too.
This place has a penchant for seducing you with its coastal flavours—something hard to find in the heart of north India. We’ve tried almost everything the menu has to offer, and almost all of it impresses.
Our favourites (and soon to be your favourites, hopefully) are the Prawn Curry, Chicken Biryani (definitely not the same as our local biryanis), and Mutton Stew. These dishes stand out for their distinct flavours and substantial portions (you can always ask for a little extra...
Read moreThe desire to have kerala food while living in Delhi is too much for everyone. The same got me to the Kerala hotel near to INA market. But the end result was not that satisfactory. The food is not that great. The prices are normal range. There are lot of items available on the menu. The place doesn't seem to be that clean . It is also a bit conjusted. I tried the following foods, *Kerala meals with beef curry *Chicken biriyani(small rice) *Porotta and chicken fry *Chicken kothu porotta The meals was good but the beef curry wasn't that soft. Chicken biriyani was disappointing. It was a lot overcooked. Porotta and Chicken fry was good Chicken kothu porotta was the worst try. It was really spicy and not good at all . I even had to complain to the staff that it is not good at all.
You can give it a try if you have desire to have kerala food like meals porotaa and Snacks like banana fry, paripuvada
There are kerala stationery stores and some other hotel in the same premises. The INA market is closeby. You can explore the market as well. It is very close to the Dilli haat INA...
