Deliberate Cheating for Fish Orleys with 1/2 piece price trick !!
Their Menu says exactly this line .. "Fish Orley - 1/2 Pcs : 260/340"
Now when you order 2 Pcs, what do you think it will cost ? 340. NO!! They will cunningly bill 260 x 2 = Rs 520 (Rs 180 more, and without telling explicitely)
and added with GST and other ordered items, mostly it gets lost out. If 1 out of 10 customer points it out to them there, they will just say 'sorry'/argue and refund it. For the rest either you will never realize it, or realize when you have left the place.
I ordered 6 (3 pairs) and few other items. Was billed 260x6 (instead of 340x3) so ended up paying extra (180 x 3 = 520 extra!!).
When you accost them, they will make lame excuses that (a) Customer just mentioned 6 PCS, and did not mention that 6 PCs should be from that special '2' in the menu .. really ? (b) These pieces are slightly bigger .. maybe 5% bigger?
They are fully aware that most customers fail to notice it or its too late. Few who notice it there, they first argue, then sorry, then money refund !!
Later I found with many of my friends that they do the same ;cheat trick' with Fish Fry 1/2 Fish Roll...

However the food here is really good with great portion sizes. We tried dimer devil , prawns cutlets, and kosha mangsho with luchi. One plate egg devil came with 2 pieces of half egg each. Tasted good but i have had better ones from other places.
Prawn cutlets came with two big portions. Amazing taste. Loved it.
Kosha mangsho with luchi came with 4 pieces of mutton and 6 pcs of luchis. Portion was huge and filling. Not the mention the great taste.
Overall a good experience and as always the outlet kept up with its tradition of...

There are multiple better outlets in Dilli Haat, can avoid this one. The service was extremely poor, we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. And despite waiting that long, our aloo poshto, a signature dish that can be reasonably expected at a Bengali foods eatery, did not arrive. We left in frustration, unable to spend more time or energy sitting there while orders to Zomato pickups kept going out. The staff never even bothered to apologise or inform that there would be further delays as we sat there, we had to constantly demand that our food arrive. Extremely...
