Have been hearing about Waxwan cuisine so decided to try it out today, and thought what better then the place called Wazwan being run by JK Govt. So Kashmiri food prepared in the most authentic style? Sadly this was a misbelief. To start with what ever we wanted to order in the non veg section was not available. Even the Traami which would have given us the opportunity to try out the cuisine in one spread was not available. ordered Rogan Josh but unfortunately it was not good at all. It was too spicy and I could not eat the same. For vegetarian ordered the vegetarian thali. The way the vegetables were poured in the thali each dish was running over the other. Paneer was mixing in to rajma. Similarly the dum allo was mixing with the rajma. The taste was hopeless to say the least. The rice was substandard. I am normally very tolerant when having food at new places. But this was an utter disappointment. I do hope someone senior in JK Tourism responsible for this place is reading the review and takes corrective action. A very sad experience I am definitely not going...

It's expensive, though. But as long as my idyllic existence is intact here and the food is ok, I am ok. : )

Qahwah tea should look more presentable and not served in paper cups. Mahaul( ambience) matters.
Even if they serve me avg food on off days once in a while, I will still go here. It's away from crowd, away from noise, from people, from everyone. This place is PEACE for me. Delhi still has a...
Read moreFor lunch, I enjoyed Rishta and Rice. Initially, I thought the prices were a bit high, but after trying it, I found it worth the cost in Delhi. The perfect balance of spices introduced a new and delightful flavor to my taste buds, especially for someone not familiar with Kashmiri cuisine. Despite being already full that day, I'm eager to revisit and explore more items...
