As someone who loves Korean food, I went in with low expectations—and still walked out disappointed. This restaurant is not authentic and cuts major corners while charging premium prices. Rice Problem: They serve basmati rice instead of proper short-grain sticky rice. If a Korean restaurant can’t even get the rice right, that says everything. Dumpling Scam: Ordered pork mandu, got shumai instead - two completely different things. To make it worse, they served it with peanut dipping sauce, which is not Korean at all. Korean dumplings come with a soy-vinegar-based sauce, not some random Thai/Vietnamese-style peanut sauce. Kimchi Jjigae Issues: Lacked the deep, tangy flavor of properly aged kimchi, and the pork was overcooked, hard, and chewy. Tasted like a rushed, uninspired version of what should be a bold, comforting dish. Barley Tea Scam: Instead of properly brewed bori-cha, they serve tea bags in hot water for ₹275. Real barley tea is light golden-brown and has a nutty aroma, not dark brown bagged tea. Minimal Banchan: They only serve two tiny portions of banchan, which is ridiculous for a Korean restaurant. In Korea, and even at better Korean places in India, banchan is an essential part of the meal, served generously. Overhyped Reviews: The 4.7-star rating on Google is a joke. Either they delete bad reviews, pay for fake ones, or rely on people who have never had proper Korean food. Some customers even walk away thinking “Korean food is bad”, when in reality, it’s just this restaurant doing it horribly.
If you’ve never had real Korean food, don’t let this place ruin it for you. Try an actual authentic Korean restaurant before deciding if you like it. This place is a...
Read moreKORIS ROBBED ME... I used to love this place. But they will never see me as their customer nor will I take my any of the family or friends there. Today they have pulled the last straw. I always used to have samgyepsal there which charge around 1300 (with all side dishes and 2 pork ribs ) and i always ask two more ribs without any side dishes and they always have charged me 799 for that which makes sense somewhat as there are no extra side dishes but today they have charged me 1399 for the same by adding that on bill as 2 samgyepsal. Bruh does it make any sense???? When I confronted the waiter there he was like giving me his own math of 100 Grams each so we are charging 1399. If the whole dish is priced as 1300 and we only asked add on as ribs the charges are more than that ??? Really ??? Are you even listening yourself. When I contested that then a waitress came and she was like we have increased our charges they why it's not in the menu ? and why it's not been advised to us earlier plus why the whole dish is still same price but when you've just asked for add on how come it's more expensive than the whole dish ??? And i said I come your restraunt twice every month and I haven't charged this much still she said she is working there for more than 5 years and she have never seen that price ... what the hell ? The scam b/w them or koris has tremendously made their service down... Not sure... anyways I went there with my friend she just paid and took me from there ... if I would be alone I would have never ever paid that. This is how they are robbing you so u would request everyone whoever go there kindly review your bill again. You never know that what is being...
Read moreKori’s Korean Café – A Taste of Korea in GK M Block
Kori’s, located in GK M Block, offers a delightful introduction to Korean cuisine with a menu thoughtfully aligned to suit Indian taste buds. For those hesitant about the strong fermented flavors often associated with Korean food, Kori’s strikes a balanced note—less pungent, less fishy, yet still authentically Korean.
The menu includes popular Korean dishes like gimbap, shin ramen, and bibimbap, prepared with care and presented well. Each bite feels comforting and flavorful, without overwhelming the palate. Their honey ginger lemon tea deserves a special mention—it’s soothing, fresh, and perfect to pair with a spicy meal.
The place has a casual, welcoming vibe and is quite teen-friendly. The staff, mostly young girls, are polite and attentive, adding a cheerful energy to the dining experience. It’s an ideal hangout spot for those exploring Korean flavors for the first time or looking for a relaxed bite with friends.
That said, the non-functional air conditioning was a noticeable downside—especially when eating steaming ramen or sipping hot tea in Delhi’s summer heat. The discomfort took away slightly from an otherwise pleasant visit. Hopefully, the management addresses this soon, as it could enhance the overall comfort significantly.
Despite this, I’d definitely visit again for the food, the vibe, and the lovely tea. Kori’s is a charming spot for anyone curious about Korean food—especially those looking for a milder yet satisfying experience.
