The creator of butter chicken? While the verdict is still out on the claim to fame for butter chicken, while heading for a business meeting in Delhi, nostalgia led me to the GK1 Moti Mahal Deluxe. Sadly, it was all a bit of a miss. The butter chicken wasn't nearly as good as I recall it being, the pudina paratha was "ok" and the overall ambience felt really dated. I understand the sense of wanting to maintain tradition, but the upkeep of the place too didn't seem appealing at all. Overall hygiene needs to be improved and the quality of the iconic flavours (of butter chicken) needs to be re-ignited! Overall, sad to say that for the pricing too, it just wasn't up to the mark. Hope they can figure something out, and also stake their claim to fame as the original creators of Butter Chicken.

Great locality and at premium location. The market is not too crowded. You can easily get parking over there which has to be paid. The restaurant is fine, not too good. Services were quick and staff was very polite. This restaurant serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Food - Tastes good overall (Butter chicken was a bit tangy but the chicken was soft). Tandoori food was great. Breads (butter Naan and lachha paratha was great). Ambience - Not so good. Just like a very normal restaurant. They should put more lights inside the restaurant (In photos it may look good but actually the lights were very low). Cost - Food menu is with reasonable rates based on the place where the restaurant is located at.

I went for a dinner with my family and absolutely loved this place. I tried their chilli garlic naans, paneer tikka , tandoori chicken and paneer khurchan n many more items they were full of flavourful n well prepared must have highly recommend This place is amazing, staff is super nice and the food it was too delicious. i am still thinking about it. The panner crispy are best and their main course is too good. Loved it.Super Yummy Food! 🤤😋 Their famous signatures dishes were as good as expected.. The Butter Chicken & Chiken Tandoori us a must try here & for Veg Dal Makhani & Paneer Makhani.. Overall food & service was quite awesome! Moti Mahal Deluxe in Greater Kailash Part -1 is a culinary gem. The moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for a treat. The starters were phenomenal - the Chicken Pakodas were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, while the Malai Soya Chaap was tender and flavorful. For mains, the Butter Chicken was rich and creamy, and the Paneer Khurchan was a delightful twist on a classic dish. Paired with Garlic Naan, it was a match made in heaven. And to top it all off, the Kulfi Falooda was a creamy, sweet, and indulgent dessert that left me wanting more. The service was prompt and friendly. Mr. Akshlesh Yadav was available to assist us at all times. The ambiance was cozy and inviting. Overall, Moti Mahal Deluxe is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, delicious...

Had dinner with group at the restaurant yesterday. Never going back there again or any other moti mahal.

We ordered multiple portions of paneer tikka, soya malai chaap, tandoori chicken, dal makhani, shahi paneer, karahi mushroom, butter chicken, chicken rara, butter naan and garlic naan. The preparation was poor and the food served was stale. The only good thing that was served was the masala lemonade that too was brought from the neighbouring prince paan at a higher price.

The food was extremely bad. Did not expect such poor quality and taste of food. The tandoori chicken that was served initially had a pungent stale smell. We returned all of it and it was reserved, but that too was very basic. The butter chicken was below average. You can easily find way better tasting butter chicken from small restaurants or even dhabhas.

The food is overpriced as compared to what they are serving in terms of quality and taste.

Extremely poor service. The waiters didn't mention the portion sizes which led to over ordering and wastage of food. Not sure if they can handle small bunch of 3-4 people, but they definitely cannot handle a bigger group.

Worst dining experience. Would not recommend this restaurant to...

0/5 — Absolutely Horrible Experience at Moti Mahal Delux

This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I went in expecting a decent meal given the reputation of Moti Mahal Delux, but what I got was a complete disaster from start to finish.

First off, the food was atrocious. The non-veg dishes which they supposedly made famous, tasted like it came from a can — bland, greasy, and lukewarm at best. The paneer tikka tasted like it had been sitting out all day, and the malai kofta? Don’t even get me started. It tastes like fried balls of paneer in tomato soup.

The ambience? Shitty is putting it lightly. Dim, depressing lighting, peeling paint, dirty floors, and furniture that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since 2005. It felt like I was eating in a forgotten banquet hall that doubles as a storeroom.

To top it all off, the prices were ridiculously high. For the quality (or total lack thereof), I might as well have flushed my money down the toilet. Paying premium rates for subpar food in a shabby setting is straight-up robbery.

Avoid this place at all costs. You're better off eating instant noodles at home than wasting your time...
