Read moreWent there with couple of friends my experience was not good at all I would say it was worst in all of my recent experiences. I wonder how come they have such a good rating. We were starving and were looking for good food. We ordered a lot in a go just to get food on our table at earliest. The staff was super slow and not helpful at all. We call a guy thrice and after coming to our table to take the order he went to collect money from some other guest. Again he came back took half of the order and went to bar.. I'm not sure whether he was drunk or was so high on life that he didn't care about us. We asked for split half chicken half veg pizza he bluntly said no without even checking with chef. Asked for draught beer only Hoegaarden and Stella was available. Asked for pint of Ultra and Kingfisher premium even that was not available then end up buying Bira. My order: lantern all veg pizza 🍕, butter garlic chicken, chilli chicken, Falafel pita pocket, Electric LIT, Bira white and Chingari bunta. Lantern pizza was okaish better than whatever I tried. Butter Garlic chicken was pathetic as it was malai chicken with nothing but butter. Bland chicken, don't try ever. Chili chicken was ok, portion size was very less. Falafel pita pocket: Falafel was sour in taste and was not fresh for sure. Chinagri Banta I do not understand what kind of combination it was. Biggest mistake was that we ordered everything on a go as we were super hungry. Not visiting or recommending this to anyone. Service: -1 Food:...
Read moreLanterns is one, easy to spot place when you're around Rajendra Place, located at the backyards of Rajendra Bhawan. This place occupies quite a large area which can easily accommodate around 50-60 people at a given instant.
They have some area for live band performances at the entrance itself and a provision for the projector as well for events like the live screening of matches.
Coming onto food and drinks, here are a few things I tried onto:
*Cucumber Cooler: With a tangy flavour of rock salt and cucumber in it, this one was apparently the only drink that I found worth trying between others like Red Ferrari, Natwarlal and Three Two Tango.
*LIIT: This was the only cocktail I tried here, wasn't the best as the imbalance of spirits made it a below average drink for me.
*Food here is quite satisfying and compensates for the drinks, Zaffran Chapta Kebabs is one great dish one needs to try, served with tandoori parantha.
Garib ka Tikka: Juicy Tikkas served with Tawa Parantha, a true delight for a non-vegetarian.
*All Veg Pizza: Veggies loaded with cheese over a thin crust, enough to serve 2
*For the main course, we tried Khade Masale Ka Murg which was a flavorful main course dish with well-cooked chicken pieces in a spicy gravy.
All in all the place has some good ambience, the food is appetising and the service is good.Going here for drinks is something I won't really...
