What a perfect combination in the Rainy Season- yes a steaming cup of tea and hot, crispy pakoras! Merely an aroma of hot ‘pakoras’ becomes a hit during the monsoon season. This Sunday I headed towards a Well Known place for Pakoras in karol Bagh, which is located outside the Ajmal Khan park in Subhash market. Three consecutive shops are merged to one, they don’t have any special name just a simple name “Pakode ki Dukaan” the shop is considered to be more than 60 year old. Earlier they were used sell the pakoras at tiny cart but finallay they settled with three properties in karol bagh.
Pakoda Shop hasn’t any sitting arrangement but they have but they have temporary fixed few stand, where you can enjoy the pakoda delicacy. Shop includes array of of pakoras Aloo, Mirch, Mooli, baingan, Gobhi, Karela, Daal Urad, Paneer, Palak, so you can order as per choice. Since Saboot Pyaj pakoda was sound interesting that’s why I picked it along with Usual Palak Pakora.
Soon one of guys, have started weighing the pakora on weigh machine, he handed over me 100 gm of Palak Pakora in the exchange of Rs 20/- for A saboot Pyaj pakora he charged me Rs 10/- Both pakora were served in Stainless steel plate with Mint, Amchoor and Boondi Chatney.
Pakora were absolutely delicious, more interesting part was that none of pakora were found oily from either of sides. I cut into two equal halves but didn’t find any single drop of oil. It is clear evidence how the pakoras are made of skillfully.
